Dual restoration Nightblade Vet

I am wondering has anybody been successful using restoration staff on both bars as a night blade. I just gotten to veteran ranks with this character and I was doing fine with because of drain energy from my enemies help me survive for a long time but now it is difficult fight against too many enemies with him. I do not have enough gold to respec so I am stuck using both staffs.

You need to use aspect of terror to make the nightblade 'warlock' build work. Fear two or more enemies while you whittle down one at a time.

I was using dual resto staff up until recently, now I use resto on one bar and destruction staff on the other for AOE situations where impulse + power sap is a better option.

I did think about using aspect of terror. That is a sound strategy I was going to do destruction staff one bar and resto on the other but I do not like having to split points for two different weapons skills since I use most of my points for crafting. Thanks.

If you haven't done already then you might also consider going vamp too - mainly for the passives which work well with the build.

Dual resto staff nightblade works well. Have one bar single target dps (swallow soul). Have 2nd bar aoe (sap essence).
Use veil of blades ulti. Use siphoning strikes for sustain and force siphon for extra health. Cripple is a good dot that'll proc force siphon also.

Skip to 2 mins in, you can build veil of blades ulti quite fast with sap essence and it will reduce incoming damage by 60% and does high dps at the same time. Hold block while casting to help reduce incoming damage. You should be able to take on aoe pulls in vet content. Also I believe they are making vet content easier in a couple of hours from now.

Magicka (and stamina) regen
Damage mitigation
(Speed sneak is a bonus)

I don't know if they changed this, but a few weeks ago, if you had 5 pieces of the "shadow dancer" armor set (ignore sneak speed penalty) and also were a vampire, you could actually sneak faster than you could run. Weird, but fun.

There is no need for funny business like Aspect of terror just get your light armor, the 2 sets that give you 5% spell crit, get some reduced spell cost or spell power jewels, cap your magicka and do the standard easy mode NB with +45% spell crit
1-Single-Funnel Health/Crippling grasp/Impale/Inner light/Siphoning Attacks/Veil of Blades
2-AOE-Funnel Health/Sap Essence/Volcanic rune or Ambush or Refreshing Path or Combat Prayer/Inner Light/Siphoning Attacks/Veil of Blades

The only time AoT or Shade is useful is when fighting Storm Atronachs

Can I ask, I am VR1 and I am just starting to use destroy staff- from 1 - 50 I used 2 x resto.

I am assuming power sap = Power Extraction or Sap Essense? Or is it something else I am missing.....

Whats the advantage off using Destro with Impulse + Power Sap over just using Power Sap ... as it takes two slots on your hotbar and both are AOE.

I am currently fighting with a Destro staff to raise the skill, but I have no points to spends on the staff yet. I think I read to much on here but the thought was if I need to use Impulse for raids then I better raise the skills up.

Sap Essence Is the Drain Power morph that heals you but hits only 6 targets instead of 9.I prefer it over power extraction since in truth you very rarely fight 9 mobs and the weapon damage increase is usefull only if you go destro. I also need it for my dungeon tanking build.

The Power Extraction + Destro can be very good since the Destro staff skills scale with weapon damage. So Power EXtraction can raise weapon damage a lot then your Impulse will hit way harder. I think Dunmer NB can possibly be the best fire destro user in the game if fighting against large groups. (5+)

I have not morphed drain power yet but I was going to go Sap Essense when I do.

It is easy to use NB with resto for both weapons. Assuming you are not talking dungeons and just soloing I don't see any point in having an AoE bar. Just kill them one at a time.

Main bar - Funnel Health (either strife morph is fine), Surprise attack- siphoning attacks- Impale- Dark Cloak and Veil of Blades

Second Bar - Mutagen, Healing Ward, aspect of terror and whatever else you want.

Before hard fights throw on a mutagen, if you are near death throw on a healing ward and fear.

Pack of three go in with sneak, Surprise attack, Heavy, Impale - one is dead. Dark Cloak, surprise heavy one is on the ground. You can use aspect of terror to break it up. Weave light attacks with surprise attack as a main damage attack throw in a funnel health for regen and you make light work of three packs. I just use the second bar for heal spells in case I get in trouble.

Even in a dungeon situation you can just spam Power Extraction with the passives this builds ulti faster than any skill in the game. You can just use that and get down two Veil of Blades on some fights. Throw in some heavy attacks for regen or weave light if you have siphoning attacks on.

I forgot to add most open world bosses you can just cloak, surprise attack (off balance) heavy attack (knocks down) cloak, surprise attack .. rinse and repeat.

I know a nightblade who uses dual resto staff for PvP. The Circle of Life passive gives the resto staff the highest damage output with his build. He's on top of the leaderboards right now in his faction/campaign.

Impulse can be recast much quicker than drain power (sap essence), and benefits from the extra weapon damage boost sap essence gives you.

Sap essence will actually give you quicker ultimate gains than power extraction.

Power extraction gives you ultimate per target hit, up to 9 targets (we'll say 9 ultimate per use).
Sap essence will give you ultimate per target hit, up to 6 targets, and also give ultimate for the 4 (or more) targets it heals (you and 3 group members in a standard dungeon, more in larger scale content and pvp).

I know a nightblade who uses dual resto staff for PvP. The Circle of Life passive gives the resto staff the highest damage output with his build. He's on top of the leaderboards right now in his faction/campaign.

For any single target or small scale situations, dual resto is fine. In situations where you need to AoE, a destruction staff will always work out better. Impulse is just too good to pass up right now.

You sure impulse seems so worthless. I die faster using impulse than what I was doing before hand.

Dual restoration staff NB is beastly in pvp. I would have one bar for dps (strife, impale, crippling grasp, siphoning attacks, mass hysteria), and another bar for tactical play (healing wards, mutagen, shadow cloak, ambush, surprise attack).

For best survivability I would actually suggest S&B +Sap-essence +inner light +Siphoning attacks +Veil of blades , 5light +2 heavy and one armor rune. I can solo farm public group dungeons VR9-10 and the Craglorn delves mobs with it. The Destro + Extract Essence can be to overkill in some situations and kind of squishy.
