Advice Wanted from Veteran Players (Bow or Dest Staff)

I'm playing a templar currently level 49, sword and shield, and have sorta been using a bow as my alternate weapon. I've been reading a destruction staff might be better in veteran content. Is this true. I've been planning to respec to tighten up my skills, so want to make sure I know which path best suits veteran content before I do.

Thanks for any advice!

It depends on your build, if you have a stamina build with your sword and board then the bow also use stamina, if you primarily depend on magicka then the staff use magicka and you are better off with that.

The bow is very bad at fighting groups of enemies but it is very good against bosses because you can kite like crazy with it.

You can kite better with Destro Staff.

Despite Zenimax's attempts to fix it, there is still zero reason to use anything other than light armor and staves.

General consensus is that destro staff and light armor are OP at this point in time.

Destruction staff helps with distance, but I have seen some players using the bow more effectively. Especially with whichever skill points allows them to throwback the enemy. It worked wonders when I watched someone take down a gargoyle almost on their own.

@Nebthet78 if I recall correctly gargoyles cannot be knocked back..... if you mean that the player was able to use magnum shot to knock themselves back,
i remind you that this merely knocks the player back 6 meters instead of knocking both the player and mob backwards 6 meters (causing a 12 meter gap between player and mob).
Anyway I guess what I'm trying to say is that the bow knockback ability Magnumshot is pretty lackluster against mobs which cant be knocked back........

It didn't look that way when I was watching it... the gargoyle moved, not the player... I was like WTF??
