What do you do with your purple(epic) gears?

I've got ~20 pieces of vr 3-5 gears, including different types of armors and weapons. The problem is I don't know if these are worth to sell. Guild store doesn't seem very active, especially for veterans gears, and I mean, when you think about it, how many people would actually spend golds to buy epic armors that are not vr 12? They have to be replaced soon anyway.

So my question is, what do you do with these low-med level epic gears? Would you decon them and get some crafting xp and expecting upgrade mats come out? Or would you still sell them even if you think it won't likely be sold?

I'd offer them out in my guild as others have already done - that way we all win

try selling them, VR is not easy to level, there will be people who want it, they may either use it, or decon for trait research, etc. It would be better if it is some popular set items.

Don't price it too high though if you really want to sell.

Also, do try in the more populated zones of your faction.

I deconstruct most but I've noticed that purple weapons usually sell pretty quick, if it's got a rare trait people will buy it.

That's kind of the ironic thing. I see people selling purples all the time, but a purple (plain) weapon or armor isn't all that good. I would take a green item that is part of a powerful set over a plain jane purple item anyday.

So I mostly deconstruct purples too for the chance of getting a nice temper out of it. This way I could make my own set items better.

Guild Bank if you're part of an active guild or mats if not. As someone else suggested, you can also try a lower price on the Guild Store if you really want the gold.

Also, if your own Guild Store isn't that active you could try joining up with one of the larger trading guilds and using their store. I've had much better luck with that personally.

If it's not something my char will use I'll give it away, money builds up fairly rapidly for me (tight git who doesn't buy anything) so don't see the need to be taking money from others for stuff.

if there matched sets, for example willow, lamae, seducer they become bound one used and so worthless to any one else except for deconstruction or research ... hurts to deconstruct gold items but only use i can see.

I offer to guild member first then break them down for mats/send them to crafter in guild to breakdown for mats

I typically deconstruct them. I want those upgrade mats...a lot. I mean, I want at least 10, maybe 20 of each if I can.
Seems like the best option for me since I don't really want to participate in the market right now.

Get rank 3 extraction for associated items craft, then deconstruct them for a purple temper.
