Warlock set, What to do?

oliver.wikstenb16_ESO
A mob dropped a siget of the warlock! I want that item in higher levels but. It is for level 16. Is there anyway for me to save the trait and then craft it later? Is it possible? (Ye I am a new player) It is a ring so I can't craft it but can I save the trait?

(Know, maybe not the best english xD)

To add some clarity. Vestments of the Warlock are part of a bunch of dropped only gear that has set bonuses on them. These cannot be altered in any way other to improve them in quality. There's a TON of others that are Light, Medium, Heavy Armor, and some only Jewelry/Weapons. Then there are a few sets that can only be purchased with Alliance points (PvP). This page has a pretty good listing of what level range dropped only gear comes in, HERE.

For Crafted set items use the link HERE. Crafted sets require that you personally have researched the number of Traits that the set requires. It doesn't matter WHICH Traits you have researched as long as the number matches. For example, Death's Wind that's listed at the top, requires 2-Traits. As long as you have any 2-Traits researched (of Eight) for the 3 or 5 items that you will wear then you can craft that set in it's open world location.

    Hope that helps.

While the items themselves do not drop past level 20, they will still increase in power as you level up. My mage characters wore the warlock set regardless of level. Get 2 rings and a necklace, then the level of the item won't matter much as those don't have armor anyway.

I, too, used the low level warlock set from 16 or so up to VR 1 when I replaced it with the VR1 set. It's worth it to use some crafting stuff to make it blue or purple. I then toss it over to an alt to level with.

Sub vet go for 2 rings + neckie

Vet1 go for Cowl + robe + neckie so you can keep the two rings open for resists.

i keep the ring and necklace so I can stack twilight and willow path enchant for magicka and head shirt and pants - mundus for the rest - use willow path staffs gets you over 50% crts..at least until you can start getting some legendary gear.

Depends on class and role but as a healing templar I use 3 piece warlock, 5 piece salvation (~140 hp and +10% healing) and 3 piece sanctuary (reduce majicka cost).

Others may use different sets, I know Willows Path mentioned above is very popular. The reason I point this out is that to get 5/3/3 you have to have every gear slot including weapon filled with a set item, so using resist rings means you will only have two set bonuses which I would only do as a vampire.

I find that the set bonuses and enchants matter a lot more than AC, so at VR5 I am using mostly VR1 gear and will continue to do so up to VR10-12. Losing 10% healing and HPs, reduced majicka cost and majicka flood from Warlock for some AC and maybe a bit more (already capped) majicka wouldn't even be close to worth it for me.

I have not tried the newly nerfed veteran content but with the above gear, blue food and alchemy pots I have been able to solo world bosses and public dungeons as a templar, prior to the nerf, and we are one of the weaker classes. Using 4 templar abilities and the soul assault ulti from world tree and volcanic rune from mages guild.

    lots of nice tips here.

andrew, does that salvation set really help healing in vet dungeons? 10% doesnt seem that much to skip other sets buffs, but I was wondering. Healed my first vet dung the other day and didnt do too bad if people stayed out of the red mostly, but that was with a v1 warlock set and and some heavy with health stacked. However, we did wipe a few times and I was wondering if that set would have let me save them better

im at the stage of looking for set pieces

Honestly my experience with vet dungeons in this game is that its a lot more about how good the dps are at doing mechanics than healing, but salvation is not only +10% healing but also adds HPs, which helps a little with survivability. The key there is that when combined with majicka flood and spell cost reduction I feel very strong as a healer and only wipe on vet dungeons if the dps fails mechanics, never had an issue healing.

The real point of the post is 5/3/3 bonus is achievable, not flaming as I know you were just asking how I liked salvation.
