And I’m happy about it.I will resub for sure and many many people too.
Elder Scrolls is not your Eve online or your Dark Souls. This is a franchise mainly based in beautiful worlds, lore, roleplaying, excellent art, good quests, immersion, exploration, skills and character progression, and then you have some difficult combats here and there.
Their decision to make VR easier is just amazing. People should be able to explore the whole of Tamriel (of course they will be adding more solo content too in the future about other zones from Tamriel to make you feel you are playing and Elder Scrolls game).
What was the poing of making that difficult VR if the zones are deserted? Everybody disbanding, people cancelling the subs… And then you have the whole people saying how good the game was 1-50. Now of course some “hardcore” players, yes that ones that want to rush content and then blame that the game has nothing more to offer, will blame. But that ones will left the game searching for the next one and complete the rally again whatever ZOS do. Those are not the kind of players TESO needs. This is a game based in a franchise with an enormous fanbase and success. You can’t just deny the facts.
So, I think we should thank ZOS for listening to the real TES fans (the vast majority, that’s why the whole internet was plenty of people complaining about VR design).
Of course, this is not enough, then you have that there is not much sense in the “alternate reality” version. There should be new quests regarding your faction choice once you finished with 1-50. There should be more soul in the world that surrounds you. Tamriel should know that you just killed Molag Bal and there should not exist the possibility to help the other factions. They should redesign the whole thing to match with who you are at the moment. Of course this will be more difficult to achieve I guess? I don’t really know.
