Power Leveling?

I've been playing MMOs for a while, WoW since it's release, SWTOR and Everquest to name a few and I LOVE ESO even with its current flaws. One question and I know it's pretty noob of me to ask but it's about power leveling. I see all these people on forums and fan sites talking about how they leveled their toons to 50 in like 3 days and I don't get how! I've put 2 decent days of gaming in on my new Khajiit DK and I think I'm only Lvl 12 right now. I see a lot of people talking about grinding and I'll do it for a little while between quest but I try to stay with the quest and story line because it seems to get me more XP after the quest turn in. How the heck can I put on some serious levels over the next few days. Like I said I'm running a Khajiit DK in the AD as my faction. ANY advice is welcome as to spots to grind for max gain or should I just run and gun between quest and forget the exploration and mat collecting.

Power leveling is for idiots, at least if this is their first char. Eso is all about content, not sitting on your ass in one spot. Same problem when Cragalorn came in - pple rushed v1-v12 in 1 day and now they cry they get nothing from questing.

The fastest way I've seen to do it is just to move from camp to camp and grind mobs. Don't fight anything more than 5 levels above or below you. AoE, AoE, and it'll go faster with a friend or 2.

I did it on my second toon and have to say I don't recommend it at all because it's super mind numbing and won't really make you wanna play once you're done lol. If this is your first toon, you're missing out on a lot. And you're just grinding up to vet levels, where you'll be doing the same thing again but in different factions, where grinding just doesn't work (until Craglorn, which you might hit around V5). The only reason I did it was to catch up with my wife after I hit V1 on my DK and didn't like the class.

Another thing you want to keep in mind is that you have to go through the story later anyway if you want to get all the oodles of skill points you missed from key quest turn-ins. When I maxed I had to go skyshard hunting for every one available to me and was still hurting for points.

No need to PL, in this game you get so much exp, just clearing a zone you will end up out leveling everything by 5+ levels easy.

I think I have old mporger syndrom, im so used to questing not giving enough exp, that I simply by default kill every mob I see from A-B and back again... result = i'm way ahead of the zones already on my new cha at 28 and havnt finished stormhaven..

If you like the game, then don't Power Level it. There is simply no point in doing so. Slow down take your time. Enjoy the story.

Don't wind up like so many others on these forums who grind out their levels in groups as fast as possible, then complain that there isn't anything to do in the game.

You don't "play" the game by skipping most of it.

It's impossible to get from 1-v12 in crag in one day.

Thanks for all the input, I think I'm going to just stick with the normal questing and grind the enemies/mobs on my way from quest to quest like I've been doing. I don't think I would have much want to play the game after spending a day or two just grinding enemies, I tried for a little while last night and gained a level in about an hour and spent all my gold I earned on repairs afterwards!

It is now... but was not some time ago.. because people was exploiting the XP at certain events... now they complain about this or that class being OP because they have more skill points to use making them OP compared to those that plain went to vr12.

It is fun is it not?

    Fixed a horrible typo lol

    Good choice!

However you plan to do it, I suggest you don't bother repairing your gear while you level, it's just gold wasted. Replace as you get new pieces from drops/quests and just vendor everything else.
