Enchanting - ?'s about inspiration and effects

Has anybody noticed that similar ranks of looted glyphs are yielding different IP gains, and is there an explanation why it is this way?
I just noticed that some, not all, "grand" (vr5-vr7) glyphs yield less IP than "greater" (vr3-vr5) glyphs. When the grands do yield the higher IP amount, that amount is exactly the same as the lower leveled greater glyphs.
My next issue is with the effects - I crafted two grand flame glyphs the other day, one white and one blue. The white one was crafted by accident, but then I noticed there was a 1 point higher strength on the blue than white. Usually I expect it to be 3-4 points higher.
So, has anybody else noticed anything weird regarding enchanting since this last patch?
