^this. If the next "fix" is going to be in the next few patch(s) - THAT'S PLURARL - Then I will be forced to quit. I could play just fine during 1.2.2 and enjoyed the game thoroughly, but not I can't play at all.

We bought the game to play it, not to be your paying Beta testers for the console version. Please test content and updates before you apply it to the game - This is expected and will reflect positively on you as a company.

ZOS should seriously roll back to the first stable-ish build after launch and then pull a straight-up rip-off of Square-Enix and what they have done with ARR. I am not joking in the slightest.

    The benefits would be threefold

1)They admit the game wasn't ready for live

2)They get time to rebuild the brand

3)They have a huge pool of willing beta-testers(if they listen this time....) for as long as it takes to get the game ready.

And for those that have no clue what i'm talking about, here is the quick rundown. SE released Final Fantasy 14 v1.0 and it flopped horribly. Then they point blank said it sucked and it was totally on them. Gave all the then current subscribers free subs until the game was ready for re-release. Also they restructured the whole dev team, from the top down and didn't just say they were listening to feedback-they acted on it.

Did wonders for ARR. Could work for TESO too imo.

I voted no because I've not been affected by the issues reported by others (FPS, lag, crashes etc).

My only problems have been with regards to balancing, and I can see that the devs are already working on that.

Not testing a major patch properly before it goes live is just stupid. When you can't find the cause of severe bugs in over a week, rolling back is the only wise thing to do.
I have not been hit all that bad myself, because I am not doing PvP at all, but I hear the complaints from my guild mates, none of which have been online much lately.

Star Wars Galaxies flipped their game format completely after the launch of the game, too. And it is still considered one of the biggest screw ups in game development history.

Would be worse in ESO, I think. Unlike SWG, this format and game plan really does work and is a lot of fun, meaning that they'd be destroying a working (mechanic-wise) system to do lord knows what with it.

I say they just fix the bugs and we move on. I'd prefer not to have to reset characters and everything when the game is very enjoyable.

Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

its sad that 2x as many would like the rollback vs those who dont...

i as well... nothing added in 1.2.3 was worth the game suddenly becoming unplayable in a few situations... 1.2.4 made it to the point where it was unplayable in all situations.... not just PVP..

they dont to completly revamp the system.. just fix what is broken....

only thing that could use revamping is endgame..

Well ive decided enough is enough and unsubbed, got 8 days left so if they fix it within that time i'll re-sub, the game is unplayable for me and all i like to do is pvp.

I've seen better fixes in those free to download and play mmo's than what we have here, this game isn't worth a monthly fee as it stands now and i can't believe i'm saying this as in beta i thought it was a great game which deserved a monthly fee.

How can a game go from a smooth and very playable game to something that feels like your playing on a commador 64. Zos, you didn't need to improve performance or lighting or any of that guff, all was needed was endgame fluff to keep as going.
    Patch 1.2.3 nerfed the game....
    Zergballing wrecked pvp......

Depends. When did 1.2.2 go live?

And what exactly does rollback mean? Would it include characters created, traits learned, gold made, quests finished .... or could they give us all/some of those things back?

Because, honestly, four more rounds of Wyrd sister / werewolf questing in Glenumbra and I'll probably start to have extremely well-dubbed nightmares. ;)

I'm still thinking about this one. Although I do think a rollback is in order, I would feel that it would cause a lot of problems. For one thing, I don't think they could do a rollback of the patch without doing the same for the database. So any quests or achievements you may have gained since 1.2.x was released would go out the window. Most of us could live with that, but would everyone? Some people have not been affected by the FPS or other gameplay issues, as hard as that is to believe :) So they wouldn't be happy, that's for sure.

@‌catches_the_sun can you please post your pc components here as i would love to buy the same setup and be able to play and see the mobs i am fighting.
    Thank you

Side note, if there is a rolback just do a relaunch. At least the the zones will be full of people again,
I will take a week of work, lvl to vet10 and then they can release craglorn.
I will be waiting in the dungeon to reach V12 the same evening.

The way the game is now i might never get to V5, ever....

even if you get a setup that works now, there is no guarentee it will work after another patch..

lots of people didnt have issues before 1.2.4 or even 1.2.3, then boom...

I hope the people who "have it good" right now get hit by nonsense that no one else gets later on...

And then repatching with a fixed redone patch... We'd be lucky to be able to interact with the launcher after all that fixin'.. Lets just let them fix whats been broke and not tempt fate. :\

I voted no because I haven't had any issues yet with the game. I realise I'm lucky in that respect and that others have had serious issues, mostly (but not wholly) server-side, but I don't see the issues as warranting such a massive roll-back at this time.

Unfortunately this is the reality. They can't roll back now. The spaghetti is all tangled.

As for them fixing anything.. I have no faith. I've lost every last bit of it. Huge fan of the game here - very disappointed. I said I'd stick around to the end and I think I'm seeing it here. I can't imagine my favourite part of the game, PVP, will survive this.

I like the PvE also (I actually love the massive amount of content and the VR system too.. I really do) but that's also busted in so many ways that I can hardly be bothered logging on.

I know how patches and development are supposed to work. I wouldn't call whatever Zenimax is up to "how development works". Because it isn't working the way they are doing it now.

For me this continues to go back to QA. I really have no faith at this point that there is a competent QA team in place testing this stuff before it is pushed to production.

And PTS doesn't count as QA. QA means regression testing and analysis tools. With the proper tools analyzing the game as it runs these memory leaks and GPU/CPU utilization issues should have been easy to diagnose and solve before the patch was pushed.
Life of a Nightblade (Screenshot Tumblr)

Attention Zenimax: Stamina builds don't hold up to magicka builds, and this is causing most of your class imbalance. It makes melee weapons and bows weaker than staves and class abilities. It makes medium and heavy armor less desirable than light armor. Fix this imbalance, and you'll address most of your balance issues.

I'm hoping for hotfixes almost daily and a patch Thursday and next Monday even though it is the 4th of Jly in the states.

I have considered unsubbing, for a month, but only in small part to the reported PvP issues (I have no issues outside pvp).

but given the massive mess ups in previous patches (computer damaging memory leaks, super lag in pvp, new non-functional skills, etc). this really isn't that unheard of. I was disappointed in how long the fixes MIGHT take. But I also look forward to the free game time players should receive if this continues a full week.

Glad somebody mentioned SWG. 3 months in weren't AT-ST still in the game? I think it took like 5 or 6 before they finally removed them.
