Robbing merchants

Hello,
I just did it, I robbed a merchant. I just wanted to know what happens, but now I feel so sorry when I see him sitting on the ground next to his horse. I wish there's a way to "undo" this and apologize, but I guess there isn't.
I just wanted to post this to ease my mind a bit.

Don't consider your mind eased. You're a terrible person, and you made that poor man cry. You stole his whole livelihood away from him, and for what? A lousy achievement. You. Monster.

Haha, I feel the same way, but the stupid thing is that this is an achievement to do this all across Tamriel! Or at least it was, who knows if they decided to remove it unannounced. I don't like that there's an achievement for 100% encouraged bad behavior, why isn't it an option to steal from this random merchant or not? Maybe you have an option to steal, or to tell them they're being naive and need protection, and the achievement is something like "Find the naive merchants across Tamriel, and either rob them or help theml"?

When they do introduce Thieves guild we'll be all doing it often so good on you @Raygee, you've done it early and after you get past your grief and sorrow, you'll become a stronger man capable of stealing lollipops from kindergarten kids :grimacing:

Hahaha! I did the EXACT same thing.. I felt so guilty afterwards as the NPCs really rub it in...

When i first came across that merchant in alik'r desert, first thought in my dead was 'oooooh! free gold! gimme gimme gimme!'. Then after seeing him on the ground sulking next to his horse, I felt little bad. I was hoping I could purchase something from him or repair my gear, but I guess he didn't feel like doing anything to get his gold back.
so I got on my majestic white horse (with bondage straps on its butt) and rode into the sunset.

Heh, its kinda funny how little thing can make someone feel bad. Its not even remotely real, just decision in game.. yet we (most of us) feel that its pretty wrong.

Im sorta wishing there was some "positive" variant of this. Or no achievement at all. But yea, we have free will..
