I lost Vanus Galerion Please Help

Hi,
I'm level 43 DragonKnight and King Emeric told me to find Varun Galerion. I did that and he took me to see the leaders of the Ebenheart Pact and Aldmeri Dominion they both agreed to meet to stop the plane meld. Then Varun teleported my character back to a mages guild I believe. Instead of going right to the island I decided to leave the building and go to the harborage since that was another pending quest. So I went to the harborage and then came back to the mages guild I thought I was supposed to but that quest is no longer showing and I cant find varun anywhere. Any ideas what I need to do to get back on track?

I had something like this happen to me...... are you sure you went back to thebwake place he openee a portal for you....

I had to check all the mage guikds. Lol

Try the mages guild in Wayrest. That's where they put the portal to Coldharbour after you finish on the island so it might be there.

Thanks I went there, and every other Mages guild I can think of. He just isn't there.

I'm sure we were in Daggerfall though because I left there an ran to the Harborage which is just outside Daggerfall.

You might want to try abandoning the quest and starting over. It sounds like when you left, something got hung up somewhere, and going back to where Emeric sends you to the Mages Guild (and you're right, it was Daggerfall) to find Vanus might be the thing to do. Just be careful what you're doing and make sure it's what you want to do before you do something you can't take back.

I forgot to pick up the quest he gave before leaving the building as my bags where full and i wanted to empty them first. I could not find him back either. I got help from a guildy to enter cold harbor and after a few quests he showed up asking me why i left.

Too bad i didn't have the option to tell him he left. But after that point you can continue the quest line. Hope this will help you .

Ok I have a resolution. ESO support did help. Vanus was waiting for me in the Fighters Guild in Wayrest. It does make sense that he was somewhere other than a Mages Guild based on the quest. I guess I just didn't think to look in a Fighters Guild for the other Alliances I would assume he would be in the capital city Fighters Guild.
