FPS drops and oddness in Alik'r

Saw my fps go from 70 to 15 in Alik'r on the quest with the farmhands and the rain maker, where you have the vial and you go find which oasis is corrupted. Every time I would enter the water of the different oasis' to check, I would see huge lag/frame rate drops, only time I've ever seen this outside of Cyrodil.
Also, the lizard for the quest where the lizard sniffs out the traitor is busted, the lizard literally just beelines for a place with no one there and nothing there, and then disappears. Makes the quest unfinishable.

Azzuria✭✭✭✭✭Happened to my friend and I as well, and we're both running high-end rigs that get 60-100 fps on max settings. We jumped into the cisterns and WHAM! framerate dropped to 10 or less per second. Pissed. Me. Off.

✭It has to do with the beetles, if you notice what looks like a little swirling ball of sand with a beetle corpse in the middle in certain areas, they are the FPS killers. The lizard bugs out if you step outside his search area.
