The most useless NPC deaths in ESO

What's the most useless NPC's "sacrifice" in your opinion?

Mine is Gloria Fausta. Poor girl didn't have to die at all.. the blood she gives player (to cure the Duke with) before poisoning herself would be just the same if she just cut herself and squeeze a vial of it..

Did she take a blow into head or something? Or did she just assume the worst like the poor dummy Elisabeth?

How about the Wyress in Daggerfall / Bangkorai that you had to cut her heart out, why? That made me sick since there really were no options.

Well that was a ritual to summon (and please) Hircine.. at least she stepped up and YOUR heart wasn't carved out as they originally wanted :D

I'm all for better spoiler-tagged than sorry, but considering the title of the thread, I would think spoilers would be expected.

Maybe if the OP edits the main thread title to add "SPOILERS INSIDE" or something? Makes it obvious. Trying to read a thread that's nothing but spoilers with spoiler tags is kind of annoying.

What is the point of using spoilers 3 months+ after launch? Especially in a thread named like this?

There is no point. If they can't figure out that there are going to be spoilers based on the title, they aren't going to figure out that the spoiler tag means spoilers either.
Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

Well, this is ESO, there are no negative consequences in death unless the ferryman shipped your soul to one of the bad Daedric Prince's domains, but even so, escaping and returning to life fully intact is possible as proven by M... well, the guy who returns as a cabbage and gets beaten to death with a steel sword in that other Elder Scrolls game....

But otherwise, dying leads to a zero maintenance/carefree lifestyle where all you do is scold people for "disturbing your rest".

History, like a human being, is thirsty when it wakes from its slumber…History wants to drink up an enormous amount of blood. And even if history has tired of drinking blood, that’s only in regards to the amount. But what about quality? The larger the sacrifice is, the more delighted the cruel gods will be.
