Best way to advance Alliance/Support skill line?

I'm trying to get the Barrier ultimate at level 6 and have been working at it since I joined my first Campaign. I wound up getting 42k in rewards at the Campaign conclusion, but no matter what I put on my bar or what I did, my Support skill line just crept up incrementally, and is still now, at VR2, only 4.

I see that I can raise the skill line by getting Alliance Points. Is there some faster way of getting Alliance Points than I've been doing? I do my Bounty dailies, I join a lot of keep battles, and I even quest in Cyrodil. But it's so slow going, I'm wondering if there is a faster way that I'm just not aware of.

Kill dudes. Lots of dudes. Do all the dailies.

You will hit rank 8 assault/support by the time you hit Lieutenant(rank 18). It levels with your pvp rank leveling.

the only way to level the assault/support skill lines is through AP. So fastest way to farm for them is farming AP.

If you successfully defend keeps by yourself, or with a very small group, you will rack up AP quickly each time you wipe the enemy forces.

Also, too, you can defend resource nodes, Outposts, and Scroll Gates/Temples in the same manner and get "Defense Bonuses" after waiting a short bit once the fighting has ended.

Alot of skill points for doing the actual story lines... to be able to cover more fields... as for the PvP lines, only way to increase them is by doing the content and grinding alliance points enough to gain a rank, each alliance rank will get you closer on next Alliance Level.

Are you on a campaign with low population? On higher pop campaign, it's easier to earn 100k+ AP per day.

I have been DC wabba since the start. I built my templar to do healing and I have one level to go before barrier. Have any tips for more AP? I do the quests and a mix of battles.

I'm AD in Auriel's Bow and population hasn't been a problem. If I'm hearing you guys correctly, defending a keep with a small force yields high AP relative to other types of farming. I'll give that a try. Thanks!

I have three of them I play regularly, and none of them are over rank 11. If id have stuck with just one id probably be closer to 16/18 on the one.

There's a great passive in the assault skill tree, "reduce the amount of points to charge your ultimate" I forget the exact figures.

I'd like to see a re balancing of how AP is earned...

What kind of AP is earned for revives? How much do you get for repairs? What about heals?

Yknow what I got for carrying the scroll across half the damn map? Nada, zilch, zip, zed.
