I enchanted a bow but the damage is less than the original bow without the enchantment. How can I convert it back to the original? I thought it would enhance no deduct. Is there any way for me to fix this please?

    This is just impossible!

Anyway, there is no way to revert enchantment - only apply another one

What bow? Material, level, original damage rating displayed etc. The bow's base damage can't typically be changed and the enchant typically is added on top of everything else already there. If you enchanted a bow that was already enchanted and the newer enchant is lower quality...then you are out of luck.

Correction on base damage. Base damage can increase if you improve the bow white to green to blue etc.

Also, if it is a low level bow 4-40 (maybe others will argue through VR10). Don't sweat it. Just make another. The beauty of the crafting system and the availability for resources means that you can easily replace equipment fairly early on. The only cost I recall, in the beginning, was having to buy motif items since I hadn't had a chance to stumble on stacks of them looting bags and barrels.

Ah, well sad to say you're stuck with the decreased damage. I made a similar mistake in changing an enchant on a piece of armor.

Lessons learned for both of us...

definitely a lesson learned, honestly it should prevent you from enchanting something that will actually decrease the amount of enchantment on a piece of material

OP probably had bow that came with a existing stronger enchantment and re-enchanted the bow with a weaker enchantment.

In this case, the bow's base damage doesn't decrease. Only the enchantment decreases.

It overwrites it doesn't stack. Gotta find a stronger enchantment to overwrite it again.

FYI you can preview the finished gear in the enchantment screen without actually enchanting it.

If you click enchant on a piece of gear and then select an enchantment in the pop up window. Don't select Ok, but instead hover your cursor over the gear in the popup window, it will change to reflect how it will look with the new enchantment. You can then decide if you want to proceed and confirm the enchant or you can back out and it will retain its original stats and not consume the glyph.
