A good cleaner tool for PVP? Addon cutting lag?

As I was talking in a random TS during pvp someone had made mention of an addon that actually did an awesome job at cutting lag. Something about wiping out memory continuously about a combat log or something. Its like this log gets filled up and your frame rate gradually goes from awesome to what it was last night. That crap last night was disgusting. Any word on this?
