Deal with it and I'm surprised people act like this is a new concept. Lot's of games have this exact thing and have had it for years. Maybe 10 years.
Your claim is absurd.
As someone who has tried nearly every subscription MMO on the market going right back to EQ2, I challenge you to list even a handful of these "lots of games".
They don't exist. This is the first time I've encountered or even heard of this incredibly frustrating feature. It's also the first time in many years I've played an MMO and never seen any sign of SPAM. So due credit for that.
But this solution is a perfect example of throwing the baby out with the bathwater. I don't like SPAM at all so I definitely don't think they should just remove it. It needs refinement though. As I and others have said, simply providing an in-game means to alter your appearance (like in Skyrim) would fix most of the problem.
I am a character builder. I like to play around with every possible combination of race, class, and skill lines until I find just the right combination. I have used all of my slots and deletes, plus a couple that have recharged, and I still do not have a character that I really like.
But I have been getting a lot of flak for being negative, lately, so please allow me to make a positive suggestion to address the issue: Allow us to buy more character slots. You'll make a fortune just off of me.
