are you going to repeat the same mistake ZOS? STOP rushing rushing MAJOR patches and TAKE YOUR TIME. Honestly and seriously. I Don't give a DAMN if it takes you 6 months to get a major milestone on the live servers. But if you are going to keep repeating these mistakes, you're going to anger and drive away more customers than you ever would if you just took your time.

No more promises please, because you've proven to be unreliable on that part.

When someone asks for an ETA on something, please remember to use the following words : "When it is ready TM".

Well in all fairness he does have a point. Every major and minor patch seems to break crucial things. Sure it may introduce new stuff and new fixes but it is all for nothing if lots of seeminly unrelated things break.

Given the way things have been going I have been wondering about Zenimax' development process. It feels like devs don't test their code or don't give testers enough information to find these crucial issues. Or perhaps they need new testers or hell they may even need a new development process.

It is kind of sad when every new patch is not met with: 'Wow new stuff and fixes'. Instead it is met with: 'Wow I wonder what they broke this time'.
And with that I am not saying development needs to be flawless (near impossible at games this size) but other companies learned how to minimize issues and deal with updates properly. So I do not understand why Zenimax fails to learn from previous updates.

If you combine that with lacking communication skills then you have a smoothie recipe that leaves a bitter after taste.

To my understanding the changes have been in PTS before they were put to Live. Maybe some things were already noticed in PTS maybe some things appeared only after going Live as the environments are not totally the same and some changes are in PTS that are not yet in Live.

So you mean that even though they test in PTS they should include then 1 month more test to copy of live environment before actually going to live?

Just thinking of the size of the game and the size of the last patch the possibility that everything goes 100% correct is most likely far smaller than chance in winning the lottery.

It is living game things get fixed, things break, get fixed again, new things pop up... so on. If you are looking for 100% working game with no bugs and issues, you might just as well quit now. Not going to happen.

You think if they waited 6 months the patch would have been flawless? lol

I hope they bring them more often so that we don't have to deal with this in one year.

I think they should put small paches instead of huge ones. You put in one thing. Something breaks you can fix it easier. Also small patches do not download few hours...

Been playing since eq came out and yes I'm annoyed. What did you expect would happen with this fiasco of a patch ? That people would be shitting rainbows and singing songs?

Just played for two hours, game runs smooth - they even improved the lightning and its not so dark anymore and the FPS are a bit higher now as well around water environment.

If you crash or have bad performance, better check your system and don't blame the patch.

You do know you can not test anything PvP, no AvA or High end content on the PTS, unless you level a character on the PTS, right?

I mean before you posted on how well it was tested on the PTS, you actually went there and saw something tested, right?

    Of course not..

You get issued appropriately levelled characters to test stuff with according to an earlier thread. That was how Craglorn was tested.

and if there's no facility to have appropraite levelled characters other than people levelling up a new character that in itself would mean PTS is a waste of time.

although it would explain a lot.

I got an overclocked i5 3570k at 4.5ghz, 1600Mhz memory, GeForce 780 and 3 SSD in raid 0. The game worked fine pre-patch, and I can run other games at max without experiencing massive FPS drops.

So yes I am blaming the patch, because that is the most obvious conclusion because: they did a gfx upgrade. It is also well known that there are particle issues in the game as well which has persisted for a long time. You can notice this issue in a cave in stormhaven, I don't recall the name of it but you are suppose to kill some ghosts, anyways... the entire cave is overfilled with partices that caused my fps to drop down to 5 or 10 fps, turning every setting to low didn't help much.
