Nord Passives "Ghost" Change in 1.2.3 Patch

Why was the Robust and Rugged passives for Nords changed without ANY mention of it in the patch notes or any explanation? Robust was changed from In Combat health regen from 15% at 3/3 to now 30%. While this is nice, I never once even noticed that 15% working before. It was a broken passive that I had reported as a bug many times before.

They also changed the Rugged passive (3/3) from adding a flat 300 armor to now just reducing incoming damage by 6%. While this may in fact be a better change, I still fail to understand why something like this wasn't included in the patch notes for version 1.2.3. The only "Racial" change on the patch notes talked about were for Dark Elves.

I'll continue to test with these passives and it does seem the Nord racials got a bit of a buff (which is good cause many considered them very weak) but I just with this had been included in the patch notes as well as any other races that may have seen overnight "ghost" changes.

Reducing incoming damage by 6% is actually a big buff to that passive, that's really pretty nice!

From all reports the 6% reduced damage is bugged and not working. Some have actually stated that it is increasing incoming damage by 6%.

I cant afford another respec or I would test this when I log back in.

I can confirm this. I'm playing as a Nord Templar so I got hit with the passives change.

Now as any veteran ranked character will know, the damage any enemy can dish out is pretty high in vet zones. This said, I checked my stats after the patch and my total armour dropped 500 points and now sits at a non-overcharged 1478 (used to be 1978) and I'm taking extreme amounts of damage. Almost to the point where I'm not too excited about playing.

So its either that the heavy armour perks aren't being calculated correctly, or as OP stated that the 6% reduction is actually adding additional damage, or all of the above.

    Overall this patch was messy.

Glad its not just me who noticed this I thought I was going mad, as did some of my guildmates . I have definitely felt a lot squishier since the patch as a Nord Nightblade.

Anyone know if this has been addressed yet?

Yeah, It was added to the patch notes of that update a few days later I believe.

Not sure if this is still an issue tho or if it even was...but if it was glitching and doing 6% more damage that'd be awful:

My Nord Templar was in complete legendary and once the change to the passive went live I added a new armor ring. Thus I was still over soft cap for armor plus all my other defensive buffs.

After that patch my Templar seemed to naked in the amount of damage I took in PvP compared to before patch. Either that passive was causing 6% more damage (seemed even greater) or there was another bug for that week. I just quit my Templar and played my Sorcerer.

With upcoming changes to sets and soft caps Iv been thinking it may be viable to go with a stamina build and that was my entire purpose of my Templar. If the Nord passive is still bonkers then there is still no point.

Well this would explain a lot and explain why I felt way more squishy once Update 1.2 launched. Included in the 1.3.2 patch notes on the PST forum is a change to the Nord Passive...saying that it's going to now properly reduce incoming damage instead of increase incoming damage: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/122969/pts-patch-notes-v1-3-2#latest

Can't believe one entire race for a whole update has been basically just freely been pounded for 6% more damage for over a month! :\
