I downloaded MSIE-3 faster than that and it took all night on a dial-up account.

Use that and see if you're getting the speeds they promised. Also if you have a bandwidth cap, they may throttle you after you hit it.Basic circle of complaints on ESO Forums:

What are you buying from your ISP? At your speed, I'm guessing 6Mbps. Or possibly 10Mbps, but you have other internet-related things going on.

I've been suspecting throttling for a while now. They're not supposed to be doing that any more, because it caused an upset amongst government folks a while back. But then, I don't trust our telecomm (phone, cable, internet) companies as far as I can throw them, and I consider mine to have been pretty decent, compared to certain others available.
Any fellow Canadians around reading this who remember the thing about throttling that was in the news a while back?

An internet service tier that costs $52 a month (with a $5 discount for bundling it with a telephone line), that's what.
I'm feeling less than impressed all of a sudden. This can't possibly be "as fast as it gets", then, which is what I _thought_ I was paying for.

I've always downloaded around 50-70% of my speed (100mbps) I think some people just have severe throttling :S.
I am at 2GB remaining on the last patch, they say the servers will be back up soon too... meet you all in there.
