Werewolf weirdness

Logged in today for the first time in a while, V1 zone, in a dungeon, and transformed.
I remained in human form, except I had the werewolf skills. I could fight as a wolf, but with no wolf graphic. When I transformed back, I glowed a curious red colour for a while.
This hadn't happened to me before - has something changed?

Haven't seen that myself, but have seen multiple forum posts of it happening. Seems like a (rare?) bug that crops up from time to time.0
