Subscription questions

goochpuckett
I am about to go on vacation and my subscription will be going up while I'm gone. I do not want to lose any of the hireling items that will be sent to my character once a day because that's profit for me. If I stop my subscription before I have to pay again will my character still get his hireling items? Also will I be able to start right back up again when I return? I am not making any money at this time and need to save as much as possible so I do not see a need to pay for several days when I wont get to play. If someone could answer some or all of these questions that would be great!

Also on another note... Why do we have to offline for 24 hours for the hirelings to send us items? if I play once then come back under the 24 hours it seems as though I wont get the hireling items sent to me at all, this seems to be a ploy for ZO to get money while we don't play that character. I want to understand hirelings more because it is very useful when I am away for schoolwork but when I have downtime for the weekend I don't seem to get any items because I play for often. This concerns me if I am correct and the 24 hours needs to be exact or near exact offline time.

Hireling spawn when you are logged in, so no you won't get them.
You should be able to play as soon as the website processes the payment, haven't actually tried it.

But here's the stinker, in the player uela, it says you need to give thirty days notice before you cancel a sub. Not sure if they are enforcing that, but they might be.

24Hours offline? I've never been offline for 24hours, 20hours yes, but not 24. They spawn every 24hours if you are online, and if you are late the timer rests to the new time, which can be a pain.

You don`t have to be offline for 24h, I usually get my items at the same time of the day. If this would be the case, then they wouldn`t send for many people only every 3rd-4th day or so.

As long as your account is active, they should send the items, even if you have, say, a week left and you cancel it now, you will still get to play that week and get the items meanwhile.

And yes, your character well be at the place and in the state where/when you last logged off.

sorry for hijacking your thread, but is there a way to "pause" the subscription? Like lets say someone bought 6 month sub and will be away for several weeks? Or will the time just go?
might be important to those who want to get away from the game and return later to see if stuff have improved?

Unfortunately, as far as I know, it is not possible.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, it is not possible. Too bad we do not have a sbuscription model that only counts ingame time.

So if im gone for a week and leave my sub alone, I will return to only find one hireling letter for a weeks time offline? that is strange

Correct. The hireling mail gets sent every 12 hours, provided you are online at the time. If you are offline for more than 12 hours, it will arrive the next time you log in and the 12 hour timer starts again. Stay offline for a few days or a week, you just get one hireling mail the next time you log in.
