"The Breton's Armor" from the promos, loading screen, forum website

Nightingale1176
You know the guy in the right hand corner of the screen, Black hood Gold accents armor. I sent a message in game asking about his armor, and i get a response saying they "don't know" if his armor is in the game. Umm you made the game... You should know if the three hero's armors are in game. SO I'm here to get the final answer. The BRETON motif IS NOT his armor, in light, medium or heavy nor do they even get close to looking like it. I saw one person with it about 50 days ago in Stonefalls ( I think he was VR 1), before the rainbow armor patch and before I had a high enough skill to craft lvl 40+ armor.

So the two question are:

Is the armor in game and where can I get my hands on it?

or

Has it been removed from game or was a hacked in armor set?

This armor is not in the game. Closest bet would be Breton Medium and Breton Light headwear.

It had to look cool in the video, but in game armor is all just spandex textures... so...

That Breton promotional armor does exist in game, but it's not from one race.

The head is Breton light armor, the shoulders are Redguard heavy, the chest is a Breton light Jerkin ( but with knives strapped to it, which you can't get in game). The gloves, oddly enough, appear to be Dunmer medium.

The armor you can't make in game, not even something that looks remotely like it, is the Nord Hero's armor.

There was a preliminary sketch for armors that was very similar to that one, it was the Breton light armor (before they turned it into a robe) - although I don't think it had a little cape/cloak, just hood. Maybe with jerkins coming to the game you'll be able to create something closer.

It's just one more instance of a reason that people come to a game not actually being 'in', or 'part of' the game.

It's like buying a 'My little pony' game for the kids and finding out there aren't any pony's in the game....
Regarding the Breton Armor: The adverts were just adverts having no factual basis in the thing you spent your money on.
Regarding armor crafting: The stuff you craft doesn't actually look a lot like the armor you were expecting from the pictured example you were shown to make your selection from.

Just checked ESO Fasions, nothing like that under the styles or the sets, I'm guessing it was an idea that didn't make it into the game.

Let's be honest the type of cinematic trailers that ZOS did are some of the least dishonest trailers you see in the gaming industry today. Since they are only movies you should expect that what you see doesn't really accurately reflect any aspect of the game. It's just a commercial that just says "hey were making another TES game that will have elves, swords, magic and some other crap "
I'll take it over any 5 min "actual gameplay trailer" that turns up to be some really polished fabrication that doesn't resemble the final gameplay at all .

Well, I have been thinking it was gonna be a "rare" armor like the Nightingale, Deathbrand or Ancient Falmer, as like so many more in Skyrim. I've seen VR10 -12 "bind on equip" sets like a Night Mother's Embrace, Vestments of the Warlock, and of course the 6-8 crafted trait sets, so I thought it wouldn't be to far out of reach that the Breton's special armor was a Boss grind or parts of a quest or just pure luck loots.

Just as a side note, I did not buy the game to get that armor, after playing a developing a character I thought his armor would suit it well, since most of the medium armors look like total crap. I didn't know if i wanted to hack and slash with a 2H weapon, or sword and board, range with a bow, or spell cast my but off.

Guys, read my post above: the armor is in game, it's just not from one armor set and the chest is a drop from Genumbra, not craftable (yet, but ZOS has said it will be). The only parts from the Breton hero's armor that aren't in game, are the knives strapped to his stomach, and his cape.

I agree with this. Having played games for years, you always have to take the trailer with a grain of salt in regarded to the final product. I think advances armors like the ones in the trailer, the cloak, the nord helmet with one horn broken off would be cool to have when you get to veteran content.

Here you go, I made the set in game:
    yQkc9H5.jpg
Is it identical? No. But clearly these armors were inspired by the armor worn by the Breton hero in the promo video, or visa-versa. The only real differences, are the colors, which you will be able to change once the dye system comes out, and the lack of a cape and the knives strapped to the Hero's waste.

P.S. I like the fact that he is not wearing a singel set, he is wearing pieces from every race in the Daggerfal Covenant (the gloves are Orc heavy, not Dunmer medium liek I thought before), it shows that ZOS put thought into his armor beyond just appearances.

I have no idea, I wasn't able to find a decent picture or screenshot showing the Breton Hero's boots and pants, so that's pretty much up to your imagination. If it was me, I would go with Breton light pants and Redguard heavy boots, that seems like it would match the rest quite well.

Nah, stop trolling my comment please.
I think it looks the way i described it and im happy its not in the game. I hope it stays that way since I think it resemblance more of a ninja outfit from something like turtles or mortal kombat rahter then an Eso game.

Props to @Gern_Verkheart for keeping to point and not breaking on some 'I hate ZOS' tangent.

And thank you for listing the armor combo. If I was converting over to a 7/7 medium set, I'd keep mixing it up this way.

All said and done, medium helmets are bunk.
Ruze Aulus. Mayor of Dhalmora. Archer, hunter, assassin. Nightblade.
Gral. Mountain Terror. Barbarian, marauder, murderer. Nightblade.
Na'Djin. Knight-Blade. Knight, vanguard, defender. Nightblade.

    XBOX NA
Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

Like the Nord Hero armor, the Altmer hero's armor is not in game.

If you use Bosmer medium chest and pants, Altmer heavy gloves and medium boots, you can get pretty close to these armor pieces she is wearing. However, there are no shoulders in the game that look anything like the ones she is wearing, so that presents a problem. The closest you can get to her shoulder pieces, would be Breton heavy shoulders. Also, she only wears a gauntlet on her left hand, which is not something you can do in game as of right now, so that's another problem. Her helm is easy though, since she doesn't wear one, you just hide your headpiece and wear whatever you like.

Sorry I can't provide pictures for this one, I don't have a female character.

Helm: Iron Helm, I think the armour is the studded hide, or whatever it is called, one of the light armour types in Skyrim definately has a pauldron like that above just one shoulder.
