Ok so I'm in Cyrodiil and see a v6 DK 2H spec. I'm a v12 DW NB in FULL Legendary including Glyphs and I got OWNED by a whip and a self heal with the odd light attack from his 2H... So the question is, does that make me the worst NB EVER although I was hitting him pretty damn hard or is this just a case of gear and NB awfulness as the class currently stands...
I'm not saying I should of out right won because I'm 6 levels above him but I wasn't expecting to lose with his health still near full

And DK players are moaning about them being nerfed to much, erm... clearly not.

First of all in Cyrodiil above level 50 we are all equal have the same chances to kill.

So do not expect to kill someone just because they are lower level than you.

What you describe, is probably what a V9 DK though a month ago, when tried to attack my V1 character (I was in green armour). After 6 minutes of battle his corpse was on the floor.

Ahh what I had that period. Khajiit Templar, with 7/7 HA and Shield.
(FYI A build that cannot cut the VR content so had to respec 3 times since then)

Now at V6, with full set Medium, 2H I face roll VR12 players. Especially NBs.
And I only wear blue gear.

Is always down to a player. And I bet if I wasn't a Templar but an NB or DK, I could do the same much more easier than it is now. (which is pretty tough to be honest).

It's because you have used only stamina skills, but he used both pools, as a smart player.

I don't just use DW abilities I use my pell damage abilities also. DPS out put on DW only is way too low lol

6 veteran levels only give you 60 more health, 60 more stamina, 90 health, 6 more spell damage, maybe 200 more armor.

These do not mean as much when everybody can food buff the stats, while 200 armors only reduce damage by 10.

Ps, dk has great self heal, one button heals for next 20 seconds.

It's best to pay different class a bit so you know what they are doing.

DKs have been nerfed, but that whip has actually been buffed recently.

Anyway, I don't think there's enough difference between gear and VRs to chalk it up to that alone. Besides, for all you know, he was in full legendary, too.

If he beat you by just spamming 2-3 skills, I'd say it wasn't so much that he was better than you, just that you put yourself in a position where all he had to do was spam those 2-3 skills to win. If you can't burst a DK down, then you have to outlast them. Switch to range, turn on Siphoning Attacks, widdle him down.

I remember jumping a level 42 player at VR1 with a bit too much confidence. I won, but they took a big chunk out of me and it was a bit jarring. And there's a much bigger difference between those levels than even VR1 vs VR12.

Hello Blinks, it's me Masher, the guy who was next to you when that DK killed you. no offence but that DK went down pretty easily to the sorcerer after he killed you. You died once to him and now come on here moaning?

Hello, Masher, it's me Claus, the guy who was behind you two, no offense, but that sorc went down pretty quickly to a temp after he killed the dk who killed the nb.

In EQ if you were 6 levels higher than your opponent they would miss like a toddler swinging at a pinata. No sustainable damage was possible and it made sense!

ESO level design is ridiculously flawed, if you're 6 levels above you can't loot a mob but they can still beat the snot out of you.

Poorly executed game design, changing it would make sense! Therefore it won't happen.

That's ESO for you, you may have worked hard and put a lot of time for your rank, skill levels or items, but they give everyone else a raise in PVP areas so its meaningless, I've never played a game where the GM would do this, so I think its just a gimmick to keep Cyrodil populated. Comparable to the Noob-Tube in COD.

In short its not one of those games where it's cool to be able to kill someone who's maxed out while being over 2 dozen levels below them because you got a boost.

when vsing DKs, the only way i can even get a chance at winning is to use lethal arrow or incap. strike. The 50% heal reduct is the only thing that can stop GDB from being as effective as it is. They usually pop it twice so instead of getting like a 50% heal, they will get 25% and then they are still in the range to get killed. Apart from that, a heavy armoured DK who blocks is just a tuck tail and run scenario for me.

I know a few night-blades that absolutely wreck everyone except a few good dk.

It's not that your gear is legendary or that you are vr12 with vr12 enchantments.
I would say it's 60% player skill and 40% build(this includes skills used on which bar, gear, passives, level, enchantments, and attribute point allocations.)

I even know a templar that gives DKs that use talon+lava whip stun lock AND force siphon+dragon blood bug a run.
