Since when is Medium Armor a skill?

. Below is a first look at some of the improvements we’re making to stamina-based skills and passives.

Why is medium armor on the list? Since when was that a stamina based skill?

I don't know why you're buffing medium armor. I thought this was about the skills. The stamina skills need to be buffed and more useful. As a heavy armor stamina based player I don't want to be forced to change to medium armor to have a chance at using stamina skills effectively.

Obviously medium armor users will have better stamina usage, but right now heavy armor users have no chance at being good with stamina skills.

Oh and by the way, wearing heavy armor does not mean you're a tank. It just means you're increasing defence at the expense of offense. Even though heavy armor users have better defence, with stamina abilities they have next to NO offense

Buff the skills, not the armor.

Medium armor is to stamina as light armor is to magicka.

As a heavy armor player, your issue isnt magicka or stamina, it's the fact that you're wearing an armor type designed for making you tougher, when in fact it does not make you tougher. That is an altogether different issue - they dont need to make heavy armor dps-capable, they need to make it actually worth the damage sacrafice you make in order to get extra survivability.

    PS4 / NA
    M'asad - Khajiit Nightblade - Healer
Pakhet - Khajiit Dragonknight - Tank
Raksha - Khajiit Sorcerer - Stamina DPS
Bastet - Khajiit Templar - Healer
Leonin - Khajiit Warden - Tank

That is one issue, but heavy armor will need some form of resource management passive to make it competitive with light and medium.

You quoted why they did medium armor... stamina passives.

Right, Light armor is geared towards magicka, medium is geared towards stamina, and heavy is geared towards health.

I suppose you could say that heavy armor's resource management can come from equilibrium, sacraficing health (which it boosts) for magicka. That doesnt give them any extra stamina, of course, but that's probably why we're able to mix different armor types between the 7 available slots.

Dont get me wrong, I'm not saying heavy armor isnt in need of improvements, but you're not likely to see many changes to heavy armor that give it better resource management - that's the domain of light and medium.

Also, they're not just improving medium armor, they are making changes to the weapon skill lines - most skills are getting a 10%~ damage boost.

I cannot believe you're complaining about a buff to medium armor. It's amazing. The very first thing I thought when I saw that developer thread was, "Ok, how many replies will be complaints before I get to the first 'thank you' replay," and I wasn't wrong to expect this.

And as a heavy armor user, you're supposed to have superior health management. Have you not noticed that there are 3 armor types, 3 main stats, and all the passives in each armor type almost exclusively apply to one of those 3 stats? Yes, wearing heavy armor does in fact mean you're a tank.

Just because you wear heavy armor does NOT mean you're a tank. It just means you have better survivability. I can queue as a dps or healer wearing heavy armor, sacrificing my spell ability for better defence.

Even though heavy armor is best suited for those who wish to play as a tank, it doesn't mean everyone who wears it is a tank.

The buff to medium armor passives was very much needed and welcome. Medium armor passives currently lag way behind the passives for light armor, and this is a large reason for stamina builds being so underpowered.
