    think its heading that way! I still don't get why Skyrim had controller support but then they launched Eso Without it Every New game Coming Out Now Has It Why Do they have to Be different Its Not Like Its wow With 30 Attacks And For 3rd Party App We Can't use bumper To go Through Bags Because There Only Clickable With The Mouse So this Just Proves 3rd Party Apps Don't Do The Job How Its Meant to be Done!!!

    from the devs I was told they geared eso to be for keyboard and mouse and even though console version are coming out they have had no plan to implement it for the PC/Mac, and I can use bag with xpadder 3rd P app, my problem with it is the lack to program features to advanced commands like double tap or holding down a button to only preform that action. it was after contacting support that they told me the best way to get a good controller support was to post it here in the forums. user to user suggestions only. So I have made a thread with my current controller layout.

    would love it. I like keyboard and mouse but I still want the feel of controller as if it were on console.

    I have been using xpadder but you lose the roll dodge, and the left stick is not very good , to open Treasure box, or to control your dude in a very hard spot,
    so for me to have the Devs fix like skyrim whould be great. i have issue's that make useing a mouse and key harder for me.

    They might have to delay it again. Might. But they planned two extra server groups for he consoles. That is 2/3 of thier infrastructure.

    With the recent changes to the guildstore one problem of consoles support (needing Addons for Guild Store function*) has been removed.
    Providing ingame voicechat is another big step.

    Personally I think for a MMO like this Keyboard/Mouse is the better way to work.
    With voicechat and other changes controler might be workable.
    But I am still just impratial to it. Would not mind it, but don't need it either myself.

    *There is a great chance there will be no Addons on conlsoles, mostly due to manufactrer limits.

    In my opinion:
    One of the reasons the game has certain player input limitations like the limited skills bar and the quick-slot wheel is because of the limitations of controller support.
    The game was initially designed with a certain amount of 'dumbed down' already built in to it to accommodate controllers.

    So stating that 'It's heading this way' begs the question of 'It was designed to be there from the start'.

    I'm a PC player.
    I play PC games because I don't want to play games with the limitations of a console.
    Making my PC games input the same as console games is something that just doesn't make sense to me.
    I want to play with more options for movement and game action, and limiting my options to whatever will fit onto a 24 button (or whatever # the controller interface of choice opts for) is pointless to me as a selling point.

    I might as well have stayed with WinDooM on a PC controller plugged into the sound card port. It had the controller from Doom, and the better graphics at that point when the Win95 version came out.
    The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

    For roll dodge go to settings and turn of double tap to dodge and the go to your keybinds and set a keybind for dodge.

    To help with your sticks turn up the speed of them in game.

    I've used my PS3 controller using Motion Joy and Xpadder. While casually questing or crafting. it worked fine, enough. They were a bit of a pain to set up and Keyboard and mouse better for more difficult fights.

    Not entirely sure the devs need to waste time fully adding controller support, as I'd assume any good controller can map buttons to keys.

    That said, adding support for analog stick movement so my thumbstick on my keypad isn't simply using WASD could be useful.

    I've mentioned this in other posts, but I use GlovePie (free) with the following configuration:

    // Back Start (AutoRun and PushToTalk)
    Key.NumLock = Xinput.Back
    Key.CapsLock = Xinput.Start

    // A B X Y Buttons (Accept, Decline, Synergy, and Potion)
    Key.E = Xinput.A
    Key.Alt = Xinput.B
    Key.X = Xinput.X
    Key.Q = Xinput.Y

    // D-Pad (Skils 1-4)
    Key.1 = Xinput.Up
    Key.3 = Xinput.Down
    Key.2 = Xinput.Left
    key.4 = Xinput.Right

    // Left Toggle (Movement and Jump)
    Key.W = Xinput.Joy1Y > .5
    Key.S = Xinput.Joy1Y < -.5
    Key.A = Xinput.Joy1X < -.5
    Key.D = Xinput.Joy1X > .5
    Key.Shift = Xinput.LeftThumb

    // Right Toggle
    Key.Space = Xinput.RightThumb
    Mouse.DirectInputX += (XInput1.Joy2X)^3 *20
    Mouse.DirectInputY -= (XInput1.Joy2Y)^3 *20

    // Left Buttons (Ability 5 and Block)
    Key.5 = Xinput.LeftShoulder
    Mouse.RightButton= Xinput.LeftTrigger

    // Right Buttons (Ultimate Ability and Attack)
    Key.R = Xinput.RightShoulder
    Mouse.LeftButton = Xinput.RightTrigger

    As someone with joint issues, keyboard controlling is not fun for me for any extensive period of time. I like to use a controller because it's more comfortable and lets me play for longer without risking pain. I do use Xpadder and it works well for the most part, BUT it would be nice to see some native controller support.

    I don't care if they add controller support, as long as they don't gimp the mouse and keyboard setup for it. It's already pretty atrocious as it is.

    Since PC players are forced to use an absolutely horrible UI with limited functions that is designed to be used on a console with a controller, yes it should be put in ASAP.

    FYI, there are first hints of controler support being in development on the PTS server. Along with first hints of build in voice support.
    The same way there are hints of the die system, justice system, dark botherhood and chat bubbles.
    So nothing concrete or definite yet, but they are at least testing the waters and are propably pushing some code around.

    I'd be totally down for in game chat support being added. Right now you have to type in PUGs and I use my controller so that's a hassle!

    I wanted it before but I've gotten comfortable enough now that I don't think I would bother with it. I usually support more options though so it would be a nice feature for others to have. In the meantime, you can try Xpadder if you can't stand playing with keyboard & mouse.

    With Update 4, there are some new Settings for controllers in the Settings-File, so I hope that controller support is not far away. But any new official word on that would be greatly appreciated, yes.

    For example: I can't play TESO as long as I would, because I have some problems with my wrists. So I only have the choice to stop playing or switch to MMOs that have propper controller support.

    I must be missing something, because why, if they already have the controller setup system for xbox & ps4, cant they do the same for the pc version?
    As a casual player I was satisfied that at one point I had a char max level and near max crafting with almost all motifs and I pretty much lost interest. Then ESO discovered DLC's and now my main is just a wanabe and I am happily pulled back into the game.
