nah dude. My amd rig runs this game on high/ultra with 90 draw distance... and it cost me $700 to build.... 7 years ago (though in fairness I did upgrade my old 5770 radeon with a GTX 770).

My frames dropped since last patch but I'm still getting 28-36 in heavy populated towns and 40+ in the wilderness. Which is totally playable. However, like @Opioid, I do get certain spots where the frames DROP.

Sometimes its stutter (that I attribute to sub-par system memory on my rig and memory leaks) but other times its something more GPU related.

So there does need to be some optimizations done for sure.

To make ESO look and feel like a PC MMO check out the following:

lol, you should really check out prices on Amazon before saying such nonsense.

You can get a i5 4670k, GTX 760, Asus z87-A, 16 GB RAM (1600) and a 750W Corsair power supply for only 750 Euro, that will play the game very nicely and last you for the next 5 years (I only recently replaced my 5 year old Phenom 2 545 after 5 years, and it still ran the game fairly well on high)

Sure if you go into Cyrodil (recent problems excluded) and get into a huge 50 vs 50 battle you are going to have low fps. It's like that in GW2 also and only the absolute best systems can handle it.

To the OP, there has been some good advice in this thread, and some bad advice, I will add to it.
