Why does this mod not exist?

I cannot find one and assume that one doesnt exist. A mod that shows a list/location of all quests/objectives/achievs that grant skill pts you have and have not gotten yet. This would be very beneficial i feel.

First, I hope they never make one.

But I think I have the answer for you.

I am a hardcore explorer. Played every day from 5 days early access. Only 1 char, me. Tank. I did build a guild that takes time from me, and skyshard hunting takes time as well.

I just reached vet 1 levels and exploring that part atm.

But, during my journey, where so many rushed up to high level, I explored every single zone, turned every rock, checked every house or tree.

I found loads of fun quests, but my exp/hour unimportant. I even think I got more exp from opening chests and explore exp, then from killing mobs and quests rewards.

To your answer. I found alot of cool quests. And being active on these forums, I noticed a lot saying how boring all the quests where......huh? I never played an MMO with so many different types of quests, that led to others, turn arounds, several options to choose where the effect and reward depended what you did and choose.

I dont use a single addon and I do not google anything. Ruins it for me.
But after so many stated, all high levelers. That quests in ESO was boring grind.....

I did google a couple of the quests I found in the middle of nowhere. And I did not find anything.

I think the answer is that there is no mod for this, because you need to find them first.

Again, I REALLY hope there will never be a mod for this. Go explore! Thats the fun part! :-)

Yeap , i also tried to find this one , in theory , not like the skyshards and lorebooks , both which i have mods for , the quests are not tracked individually by the game.

So they cant make a mod that checks which ones you have done and gives back the ones missing for example.

There is a mod that does this from the point you install it and other similar tries to bypass this , but im guessing we wont be seeing a mod that does this perfectly like we have with skyshards and lorebooks.

Atleast , if what i understood from what was the reason is true.

Its mostly logical is why I believe there is no mod for this. Main storyline in every area provides skill points, typically 3 total per area. Every area has a public dungeon, in this dungeon there is a boss that provides a skill point if killed (look at your achievement list, its the group challenge achievement). Every area has a group dungeon. The quest in these dungeons provide a skill point upon completion. Same goes for the vet version of dungeons (except vet dungeons are not in every area, 3 for V1-5 and 3 for V6-10). Every rank you earn in the Alliance (Cryodiil PVP) is a skill point. The obvious, skyshards.
Other then that, I am not sure if any other achievements provide skill points, but I will find out soon enough.
I am interested to know if there are any other skill points avenues I missed, but am pretty certain I have covered the bulk of it. :)

Trust me...since I dont use any addon, so I have to rely on the skillpoints I get from leveling and dungeons...and those poor skyshards I do find.

I found quite a few quests, which where longer questlines. In the end it wasnt that uncommon I got a skillpoint.

These quests, even when I asked in guild.....wasnt "known".

You have to find them ;-). And I sure wount send in some report where they are!

The first big problem is that unlike Skyshards and Lorebooks we cannot know retroactively if you finished quests. We can only track quest as they go through your quest journal (taken, dropped or completed). This one does the tracking work and allows you to manually mark of quests as "completed".
If anybody is in a position to show you quests you could take, it would be one of the quest trackers addons.

If you want to add markers yourself, you can use Custom Map Pins: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info357-HarvensCustomMapPinsMarkers.html

The basic rule about Skillpoints is:
    1 Per Main Story Quest
1 Per Mages and Fighter Guild Quest
1 Per Area Line Quest (the main storylines of each Faction)
1 per 3 Skyshards + 5 for that special Skyshard in Cyrodil
1 Per Dungeon (and here the game even has visuals if you finished that quest once)

The current rule seems to be: If it exists as guide on the internet, we can make a Addon taht adds the data to compass and map.
There are Skyshard, Lorebook and Treasure Map guides. Hence Skyshard, Lorebook and Treasure Map addons are not an issue.

This is not true. I have received skill pts for random side area quests.

what have these random side area quests been? We're not talking about the "Main Quest" here. Each zone has questline, let's call it "Zone Quest" and each of these Zone Quests usually award 3 skill points along the completion. Usually on the same steps which award the zone related quest achievement. It can, however, be easy to see this as side area quests if one doesn't pay attention..

Here is a slightly older list. However the sources & amounts should be about right:
    http://tamrieljournal.com/skill-points-in-eso/

For example the Zone Questline in Aldmeri Dominion first area starts with you speaking to the guard captain of Vulkhel Guard (you get directed there from starter island by Raz) and preventing the assasination of the queen.
Then you are send north to help the queen talk with some ghosts (a oddly common thing in ESO).
Then you infiltrate the veiled heritance in thier power center, that city in the east of the area.
Then you hunt and kill the leader of the Veiled Heritance.

That is the AD Zone Questline for the first area, or Area Questline (as I called it).

In the convenant it involves stopping Falchou and killing Angof the Gravesinger at the end.

In Ebonhart it is the quests surrounding the two Brothers of Strife and of the family Andoril.

All have somewhat in common that they "start" either in the main city of the area.
Or that the starter island directs you to go to the proper questgivers (if you made them).
