Adding Keep Vulnerability times in Cyrodiil

If you don't know what I am talking about, a vulnerability time would make a base "capturable" at certain times (a window) rather than available 24/7. This means people who play in Cyrodiil 24/7 would have to wait until a base is vulnerable before being able to capture it. This window could be every couple of hours, or at a certain time during the day/night. Ideally, the other factions would know what time their bases are vulnerable and would make a stronger defense presence.

What do you think about this type of system?

I see your point, but I say no. Game needs to be user friendly to all. If you make raid hours many players wont be able to raid when they are online.

I understand that there should always be some keep raidable, but it will rob us for freedom. So no, I don't want this.

This not a great idea right now, it just makes sure that the dominating faction has the upper hand always and it encourages zerging.

I don't think it would be appropriate to our current campaign domination system. Like Hazardous said it would just make it worse.

There is nothing wrong with the idea itself though so once the campaigns become balanced it might be something to look into.

It would be interesting as a special rules campaign, but not as a default setting. I'm all for trying all types of different rulesets to mix things up.

This would be terrible. People would park their whole zerg in a keep during vulnerable times and the map would become completely static.

This is the same system that Aion had. I believe it was 3 times a day, the keeps could be taken over (8 am, 12 noon, and 8 pm EST). It was a ton of fun since there was always this large build up to primetime and then all hell broke loose, however, it wasn't fair to people who weren't on those times (they never got to experience it).

I'm not saying ESO would do it exactly like this, but I feel it has more negatives than positives. I'm not sure if it does this already, you can see the keeps have levels 0-5, depending on how long it's been held.

Why not scale the amount of AP you gain based on the level of the keep or resource? This would entice people to hold on it to longer since your gains would be greater.

I'd go ahead and even say that all the keeps should be level 5 around the Imperial City before an emperor is crowned (that would make emperor a hell of a lot less common and fight against emperor farming).

    Just spitballing ideas.

Would be good if the gates to your scrolls were closed during the day. Everything else should be fair game.

Maybe the keeps themselves should scale in difficulty based on server "number" IE LOW server population should be hard as hell to take a keep over with just 6 people.
