Selling Racial Motifs in Guild Stores not Allowed?

Just a quick question I'm looking for a simple response on if anyone knows: Are racial motif sales restricted from guild stores? This is my experience, but it may be that the guilds I have joined have specifically restricted these sales for some reason. Just to be clear, I don't farm motifs but have a few that I'd like to get rid of by selling to other players (as opposed to npc merchs) to help them out somewhat so its win-win. I have advertised in-chat with no response yet. Thanks guys.

Why would they be? I've sold numerous ones in my guild stores. Multiple stores, multiple motifs

Um, I've sold a couple of common motifs through my own guild's store, with no problem. I think I still might have one or two posted. Don't know what to say, but yeah, you should be able to put them up for sale. Perhaps the store is full? I'm not sure if there's a slot limit, or anything.

I don't understand why you are asking the question. Are you having a technical issue that won't allow you to put it up for sale? Did someone tell you that you couldn't put it up for sale?

What type of motifs are you trying to sell and how much are you asking?

I have no trouble selling my Daedric and Ancient Elf motifs in zone chat and usually get multiple offers within the first 10 seconds. You do need to know the best zones to sell and need to know the going rate.

Edit because didn't actually answer your question... I have seen many motifs available in guild stores, so they are not restricted.

The limit is 30 listings. Once reached, you'll have to cancel or wait out other listings to allow a new posting from your account on that guild store or sell via another means (different guild store or zone chat).

Guildmasters have no way of limiting the contents of the store to specific parameters short of asking its members politely to comply and/or outright kicking them if they don't. There's no options page where they can set what can be listed in the first place. If there were, you would never see a Foul Hide or Daedra Husk listed on any guild store anywhere. No levelheaded guildmaster would permit it.

I never see any motifs in my guild stores and the items (motifs) don't even appear in my list of items to sell (unlike say, bound items that appear but just won't list). I have like, four of them too so I don't think I'm just missing them. I was just wondering if anyone else experienced this. Thanks for the responses guys.

Not at my limit cause I will search for my motifs, not find them, then list other items instead.

No. Not a silly question at all as I have thought of this too. Motifs are on my char & still don't appear. Have tried this like 5 times now and am pretty sure I'm doing it rite which is why I'm asking. Thanks.

I would suggest that you download an addon for guild store filtering and this might solve your problem. Motifs are for sale but they tend to sell sporadically, at least in my experience. Motifs 1-9 do not go for much and also you are limited to selling 30 items per guild store.

Buy them all the time from my Guild stores... Look under materials put in a price range 100-1000 and they should come up. I have bought some for as low as 250g the most i paid was 400g. these have not included the barbaric or primanl etc.

Motifs and recipes are the only thing i sell in the guild stores.

The real problem is finding them - unless you want to do an addon; the only reliable way I have found to locate motifs in use only the <blue> filter and then scan through the listings. Truly annoying.

added 4 motif books to store, was only able to find 2 of them via search after that. 24h later i still can only find 2 of them when all 4 should still be listed. same result when using an addon.

so i guess its just another bug.

If u never got paid for any of them they shd be there. Interesting...

Sold lots on several guild stores, and usually see them listed. But they can be hard to find ... I do a search on 'materials' & blue, and they are typically between 300gp-800gp.

ZoS have mentioned that they are improving the guild store soon.

I also found motiffs hard to find in guild store, not that they were not there but that I couldnt find them under any sort type. I did see them however when I put in show all items under the sort function and there they were.

thanks for the tip they are under 'materials', must not have been any the few times I tried earlier

a really boring day so did some tests and finally got the reason for this. motif books seem to come with variable internal attributes. some can be found setting the level range to 0, some cant.

setting the level range to 0: search result only shows 2 of my 4 books in store.
removing the level range: search result will show all 4 books.
