Daily VR Level Quest Idea

I have an idea for a new, daily repeatable quest for Veteran players that would not require much work to implement.

In the starter zone for every alliance, nail a notice or letter to a post or a wall. The contents of this notice will be some NPC seeking assistance in retrieving items they had stashed throughout the alliance's five major zones. Once the quest is started, trigger an existing treasure chest location to spawn one of these loot stashes in each of the five zones in the alliance. The player simply has to find and open the chest, which can be marked with the usual arrow locators or perhaps with the light blue/white area circles of interest. Make these drop locations random using the existing set of dozens of chest locations in each zone so that the player is not going to the exact same spot all of the time.

Once the player retrieves the loot from one or more chests in a zone, they would then read a letter or something that would send them to the next zone to do the exact same thing. Once the last of the loot has been retrieved in the final zone, the player would be sent to another location, possibly in the final zone or maybe even in Coldharbour. At this final location, which could be random as well, there would be a corpse on the ground with a letter informing the player to keep the loot, which turns out to be some gold, say 500 or so, and maybe a filled grand soul gem to reward them for their time and effort. Also the player would receive the appropriate level of VP that they would receive from a regular quest at their level.

There are no voice overs to record. There are no loot tables to manage. No new zones or areas would need to be created. An existing corpse or pile of bones could be used as the dead NPC at the end so no new art needs to be created, except for possibly the loot sack and the letters found in the chests and those letters could easily be screen text and not a graphical page on the screen. The existing timers for the Cyrodiil daily quests could be used to make the quests respawn every day. Sure, some basic quest code would need to be created but this is about as minimal as can be.

By placing this quest in every every alliance, all VR players would have access to the one daily quest in their home alliance as soon as they reach VR status. Players would receive the second daily quest after they defeat Molag Bal and move to the first set of Veteran zones. Once they complete the Cadwell's Silver quest and unlock the second tier of Veteran zones, they now have a third daily quest they can complete. By randominzing the chest spawn locations, players will visit areas and zones they may not have visited in ages, giving them some new life. The quests would be easy and possibly time consuming enough to provide some mindless gaming fun for an hour or so every day. The gold reward would be reasonable but not excessive when considering the simplicity versus the time requirement.

These simple quests would make a good first effort at endgame content directed at all players.
