Why aren't lock picks working anymore?
I lock picked many chests and now all of a sudden lock picks don't work. I have plenty and the chests I've seen are not "impossible", some are simple or advanced or intermediate. When I try to use a lock pick now, nothing happens. I can't push it down anymore. The only option now is to force it and that takes several attempts. What's happening here?

Eivar✭✭✭✭I've had that issue before, if the pick is slightly to far to the side it won't let you actuate the tumblers, even though it looks fine, and when that isn't the issue i've found relogging seems to clear it.3 -

There might also be an issue with Addons getting in the way. Try turning them off/updating them before you asume it is the game.
Also try /reloadui.
There might also be an issue with lag (your UI is already in lockpick mode, but the server has not reached it yet).
Lockpicking is fully affected by lag issues, so you have to adapt your lockpicking style accord to your lag.

✭About a week ago I was having a problem with one particular chest where I would unlock the chest (could hear the click for the last tumbler) and it would pop out of the mini-game but it wouldn't actually open the chest. I unlocked it three times but the same result each time.
I logged out and then back in again and still the same problem. All the other chests in the zone were fine, was weird. It was in Eastmarch under a cliff near the steam pools.

This has only just started happening to me. Actually it started yesterday. Though it might be something to do with by skill level with lock picks or something. Doesn't seem to matter what level chest it is. Tried logging out then in and tried quitting out altogether. Also tried /reloadui - nothing works. Never seen this before. Send a /bug. Hope it's fixed soon.1

✭✭✭✭✭Today I found 3 chests that wouldn't work for me, all in different areas in Bangkorai. Apparently this issue isn't new, but it's only affected me now. It doesn't happen with every chest, exiting the lockpicking UI and trying again doesn't fix it, and other players can open the chests that are bugged for me. I've submitted a bug report for this issue in-game, but in the mean time would like to know if anyone has a fix/workaround.0
