Craglorn and 18 Skyshards

I read this today: Being a nearly-Veteran Nightblade character, I am looking forward to getting the abilities in the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild skill lines, but it is probable that I would have run out of skill points by then. Will new ways to get skill points through quests and other things emerge so we can get the abilities available through those guilds? – Robert Stockwell

In short, yes. When we introduce new skills and content into game, we’ll introduce new sources of skill points along with it. For example, when we introduced Craglorn, we introduced 18 new Skyshards.

If there are 18 skyshards in Craglorn, why does my achievements only list 12? Where are the other six?

If you read it carefully this is achievement for Lower Craglorn :P There will be probably another one Upper Craglorn when new Trials release there.

I read that, but it is not what was said in the Q&A from yesterday. "For example, when we introduced Craglorn, we introduced 18 new Skyshards."

Theyy didn't introduced 18 news shyshards, they only gave us 12.

That comment is a bold-faced lie. Where are our other six skyshards?

The twelve skyshards you speak are in Lower Craglorn. Mouse down the list, you will find Upper Craglorn with the remaining six skyshards. Unsure why they didn't update the original list and created a separate list ... but there it is.

During the afternoon of Loredas, 6 Sun’s Dawn 2e578 a big piece of Aetherius fell to Nirn. It was the first major piece of Aetherius to fall on Nirn in more than five hundred years. It scattered around the world as millions of shards. It was rapidly documented by Lady Cinnabar of Taneth in her pamphlet Aetherial Fragments that "... when three shards meet, they re-form into a silvery prism by unknown process and confer the power unlocked by the merger to a nearby being." The Order of the Black Worm, commonly known as the Worm Cult, reappeared in Tamriel shortly thereafter and some of its members are avidly searching said shards.
In the last week of First Seed 2e579, an arcane explosion occurred in the Imperial City — a night of storms, and trembling terrain. They named it the "Soulburst". That day Emperor Varen Aquilarios disappeared without a trace. His wife, Clivia Tharn, ascended to the Ruby Throne as Empress Regent under the guidance of the Necromancer Mannimarco. Ushering a time of increased instability within the Empire of Cyrodiil which finally grew into “The Three Banners War”.

Sometimes it's better to make an enquiry based on seeking knowledge rather than an offensively-worded accusation based on ignorance  !

I ask myself this question whenever I see a massive thread necro like this one.

What was @Ashnarug looking for when they decided to chime in on this thread with their knowledge of upper and lower Craglorn skyshards? Especially when it was essentially answered two posts above theirs?

I was updating the list of skyshard I created on a spreadsheet when I realized that Craglorn was not on the list. I searched the forums and found this thread. That is when I realized that Khami had found the "Lower" Craglorn. Looking back on the achievements page I finally found the "Upper" section.

As no one really answered him I posted my answer

Ah OK. I guess I just assume no one would bother making spreadsheets for skyshards when these things already exist, especially in the form of an addon.

Addons are only of use to those PC players who choose to use them, and are of no use at all to console players.

Except there are websites like wiki that have this info readily available for a long time now...

Yes I agree, but they're nothing to do with addons.

Hence why I said "especially". And the person I responded to is on PC.

I like to keep track of what I have done, hence the spreadsheet... one per character ! I may be playing an online game, does not mean I want websites open all the time.
