Ridiculous voice overs

can i ask that the silly to the point of being immersion breaking voice overs be re-done. an ancient old tree-with the the voice of teen aged boy? a ghost of of a mighty warrior-long dead-with the exact same teen aged boy voice as the ancient tree? c'mon. how many millions did you spend on this game?

    Yeah, there are a few you can tell were rushed or just got to the point where Zeni said, "aw, screw it."

    The boy-voiced tree is one of the worst voice-overs EVER.

    And of course, the more you play, the more you realize the same 2-3 people voiced what feels like hundreds of NPCs... I am to the point now where I just put dialogue volume on 0.

    I just skip all of them. I have not seen one cutscene or listened to any one entire voiceover.

    yes-lol! many of them have been a jolt. but some are just so awful that you really do have to turn off your sound or the disparity is distracting

    Or this Dragon Priest from one of the Mages Guild quests, or pretty much all of Mannimarco, hell, even the lines themselves sound dumb sometimes.
    Do you mind? I'm busy doing the fishstick, it's a very delicate state of mind.

    There have been a few where it sounds like different voice actors. Like they had to re do it but original actor was not available.

    Why can't a great warrior have a voice that isn't the de facto "standard voice"? I think you are breaking the immersion yourself expecting something else. Take it as it is. Run with it.

    The very first line you get from the prophet was redone with some random old guy 1 week before launch it seems. Maybe Zen thought we wouldn't notice.

    Also, the whole "skip starting isles and explore the world" is pure BS since you need to do them anyway to not be underleveled on the whole game.

    A few have been off. But in general, I think the voiceovers have been decent / good.

    lol! mmm-kay...little guy. bumpy muscles ;) what about years of war? death? hard living? being a ghost for eons? being an ancient old craggy tree? voice seldom used? those things promote the "fresh out of prep school" voice? :P

    The magic guild quest line. Quest Simply Misplaced. The boss' voice is just STUPID. Like some teenage kid trying to sound like a badass. Lamity lame with lame sauce and a side of lame.
