WW toggle

So I heard this idea on one of the latest episodes of the TESOcast so I can't take any credit for the idea, but I thought I would post it. Without further adieu, the idea.

What if they made the ww transformation a toggle-able ability. Much like the lightning hands sorcerer ultimate. If you have over x amount of ultimate you can transform into a WW and light/heavy attacks and abilities would use ultimate. When you run out of ultimate you will revert back into your normal form. The more ultimate you have the longer you can stay in WW form. I think this is a fantastic idea mainly because in WW form you are pretty much defenseless. You can't heal and your abilities don't offer a whole lot of surviveability. In VR ranks being a WW is more of a hindrance than a useful form to be in. They could easily change the passives to work with this change too. Eg. Devour could give you more ultimate instead of time in WW form.

The only downside I can see with this is in pvp. We would be more of a threat being able to transform more often. But to be honest I think it's a good thing given how many ppl are vampires and how useful thier skills are.

Just thought I would throw this idea out there and if it gets some positive feedback I will track down the name of the person who emailed TESOcast this idea. I used to be a werewolf but then I took a silver bolt to the knee.

Werewolf needs an entire revamp of the skill tree. Duration is not the biggest problem. The problem is that its labeled as an "ultimate" skill, but it makes you weaker.

Yeah it does. Sometimes I think devour should be able to be used against live enemies to knockdown, heal, and increase duration. Can only be used once per enemy. I cured myself of werewolf mainly because I had no way to keep myself from dying. I could do lots of damage but 3 mobs would wreck me.

There are extensive threads, discussions and arguments about the toggle being applicable or not in the World Skill forum. I'd recommend looking there.

I'll add that I have stated it many times on those threads that I think this is a short-sighted across-the-board solution to the werewolf issues. There are alternatives other than a flat toggle being forced on all werewolves.

I would rather they kept the shortish duration and the 1000 ultimate cost, but made it actually über.

Transform removes all cc, buffs and debuffs(besides food buffs and potions) so no dots or taking critical surge or molten weapons with you.

    Hard cap armor.
    Hard cap spell resistance.
    Hard cap stamina regen.

Transform gives ~500 hp and max hp, which is lost when the transform ends, but does not take you below 1 life when it expires. This hp does not exceed the hp hard cap , it will only take you to it.

Melee attacks do 30% more damage than they do now.

You cannot gain ultimate till the transform expires.

You can dodge, cc break and otherwise perform all basic character functions.

This is what I would like to happen.

if add a toggle ww is fine as is now.

if no toggle a complete overhaul is needed.

At this point... I would give anything for them to even admit that WW sucks the hairy wolf below the belts... we have been asking for attention since beta on this, and they continue to ignore the simple fact: In WW form you are worse off than in your normal non transformed state... not even worth the skill points, its horrible.
