"Weapon attack" as in light/heavy or as in skills from weapon or both?

DEGENERATION: Additional 15% chance on hit with weapon attack to heal player for 100% of damage caused.

FLAWLESS DAWNBREAKER: Weapon attacks deal 10% additional damage when slotted.

I've come across these 2 abilities when playing and I'm not entirely sure how they work.

Either they only work on Light and Heavy attacks from the current weapon you have equipped.

Or they might work with skills like IMPULSE from the Destruction Weapon since they are by wording "weapon attacks" according to the game.

or they might actually work with both.

my gut feeling tells me it's only Light and Heavy attacks beacuse everything else would be overpowered and everyone and their mother would run around with at least the ultimate to bring up their dps by 13% (at max rank) when using weapon skills.

But who knows, CC spells seems perfectly fine to be spammed in the game to no oblivion until the mobs dies or you die so if that's possible this isn't that far-fetched either..

thanks for any response.

I believe Flawless Dawnbreaker increases the damage from weapons but not abilities.

But unlike other increases it increases the actual damage not the base stat.
