Stopping an emote

Is there any way to stop an emote after you've started. Now, obviously you can simply start moving, open your inventory, pull out your weapons, etc, but I'm specifically trying to figure out how to have you character naturally stop. I've looked around everywhere, and yet I can't see to figure this out.

For example, let's say you use /sitchair. Your character sits down in a chair. Then you use /stop. Your character will stand up naturally, and then begin the stop emote. However, I want to simply have my character stand up naturally.

I figured out a way to do this several weeks ago, but I've forgotten, and can't seem to figure it out again. IIRC, it was a simple keypress.

Thanks for the help!

    Type another emote, the new emote should override the old emote.

    Yes, I use this approach basically too. For instance;
    When wanting to stand up from sitting you can /dustoff.
    When finishing eating you can /preen.

    Another good one is /stretch. Basically any emote that isn't looped.

    Sometimes, just moving a little when in walk-mode can work a little too, but it still looks clumsy. If you remember again what your method was (OP) I'd be interested to know.
    If you can be anything, be kind.

    You can hit W and take a step. That will stop anything.

    This seems as good a place to ask this as any. Can an Emote be bound to a key or combo of keys? I like to fall down dead when people swing their sword at me, but being really slow at typing it loses the effect. If I could assign to a Ctrl/? combo it would work much better. There are four or five Emotes I would like to be able to do quicker.
    and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

    I don't think so, not unless you have a programmable keyboard or mouse, which could assign a macro for that emote to a key. Not sure if it's within the TES though.
