Do these Purple Recipes even exits?

I have spent the past week trying to find all the purple food and drinks that are available in the game. I'm trying to collect them all for a project (more details coming soon) but no matter were I go or who I talk to I can't find anyone who has:

LVL 40 Consummate Steak Soup


this one even exist? If you are able to make it please help me out and mail me a sample in game to @Kaleka. Willing to compensate generously

edit: so after a week of searching I am down to only needing these last two!
I'll take the food or the recipes at this point.

yes they do. Ive seen people selling them in the past. after the craglorn patch good luck finding one though. the drop rate seems to be nerfed into oblivion

Tell me about it lol. I've tried for over a week spamming zone chats in all 3 factions to just get a sample of the food/drink and still have yet to find anyone with the above recipes
most people rather just sell them than learn them I've noticed as well. So they'll buy it then try to get more money out of it somewhere else. I understand there supposed to be rare and all but there more like non-existent.

So would like to know why these particular recipes are more rare than the others? Is it a glitch? I mean there has to be something wrong with the fact that the only place they can be found is on the gold selling sites.

Well since someone had a thread complaining about them, I'ld say yes.
Apparently for some the decrease in the boost to stats is bad (they boost each stat less than the blues do two).

I was just reminded what the complaint about purple recipes was, only one of the stats stays boosted often after ten minutes the other two stats reset, it also happens if you die.

For me I found there is an absolute abundance of lower level recipes,
The higher level I got the few recipes were around.
A couple of purples.
A couple of VR5 recipes.
But they are so damn rare, its hardly worth looking for.

true true, just seems like some of these are a lot harder to find than others. I'm so close to having screenshots of all of them. only 10 left to go!

drowning in blue vr5 recipes, those are easy to find

but have yet to see a purple in my travelers, some of my guildies have them.

I have heard the vr5 purple only drops in veteran dungeons, can anyone confirm this?

Yesterday saw some1 trying to sell VR5 purple recipe on Auriel's Bow EU compaing for over 350k
He ofc fail, because nobody need that useless crap. Blue recipes are better.

There was someone on NA trying to sell a VR5 purple for 1m gold. After three days I saw them advertising it for 200k. Not sure if it ever sold.

The only people I know that have them got them in the very beginning when there all those weird issues with containers having wrong items in them.

I agree if one is only looking at stats, then green is better but I prefer to use purple since I really need the boost to all 3 stats at once. That's just me though. Sorc/Archer/Vamp

I loot all the time and even lower recipes are not dropping that much. when I look the guild store its recipe after recipe that I dont have yet, all greens. I buy the odd purple one but am darned if I will buy just the regular ones.

Are you sure you're losing the stats? Often when you die or when you zone through a wayshrine, the length of the "buffed" stat bars will go back to their normal size, but the actual value remains buffed.

I'm sure of nothing, but that was the complaint on the thread. I have only just found blue recipes, still waiting for Purple.

so I'm starting to think that Consummate Steak Soup does not exits. I will pay anyone 10k gold for a sample of it just to prove that it does!

Could one of the developers confirm if this item is in the game? I haven't even been able to find it or the recipe for it in the database.

My project is really taking shape but not having this one last screenshot is like an itch you just can't reach.

just to add information. i have looted 2 of the purple sweetroll recipes. both aldmeri dominion-one in deshaan(50+), one in wayrest(50++). both since craglorn. both towns, so not dungeon only.

the second one sold at 350k immediately which i asked for since 1) oats are hireling only and 2) was enough to buy draft horses for each of my toons, which was my goal.

if that one sold that fast for 350k, i would expect over a half million for the brittle.

I found 2 purple recipes last week, a drink and a food. I do check every container but I dont do the relogging thing/farming

Consumate Steak Soup.... Yeah it does exist. I found it and I gave it to one of my trusted guildmates because he was our main provisioner. And guess what happend? Two seconds later in zone: Selling purple recipe.... ***....

@Alephen‌ What level are/were you when you obtained the two VR5 purple recipes that you referred to? I'm VR12 and wondering if the loot table that I'm drawing from just doesn't have the purple recipes at all since I've looted countless containers at this point (found at least 4 of each rare motif, except Imperial).

With the build I have now all 3 stats affect DPS so purple is actually a very good thing unless its a purple drink, then its trash. I really mean trash, NO drinks have any place in VR+ levels or even anything beyond Level 40. But purple food can up the DPS of a Destro Staff more than a blue can... assuming that at least 1 stat is soft capped.

I have found and swallowed 3 purples and 11 blues. I have yet to come across the v5 purple though. I currently am making level 35 both purples, but since I am no salesman, I dont know how much to sell for, or how to advertise without standing around for an hour and doing so. Because of that, i have now accumulated 12 tomatoes and 3 little ol oats that are just dying to be cooked.

VR5 found one in 50+ zone, one in 50++ zone. but i was farming motifs. if you are getting green recipes, and occasionally blue ones, you should be on the right loot table. mind you i can only say *should.*

i'd have told the guild leader that one of us isnt gonna be in the guild anymore. if he lets that POS stay you can find a better guild.

Have only ever found the level 35 in Grahtwood at the high elf embassy. Seen a couple advertised in chat but they are pretty rare. To think I found that one somewhere around level 20, and am now VR8 and not seen one since, that seems way too rare. They sell for outrageous amounts of money, far worse than the motifs were going for. Not sure why they made this so extreme. Kind of silly really.
