From Novice to Legendary (based on Skyrim's difficulty settings) would you rate ESO's veteran leveling experience? If you've played on harder modes you should have a real good guess I imagine. :)

I don't know if it would compare it to Skyrim. It's more akin to Oblivion to me, where you would see random bandits wearing Daedric armor once you got high enough level :p

LOL. well, it feels more like you are playing on Legendary mode because if you're not careful you'll get killed in a few seconds. I think that is wrong for this game, at least for the leveling experience.

Adept all the way... as long as you are prepared and keep your gear/food buffs updated you just roll through with no real worries.

That is if you're wearing 1. Light Armor and 2. Destruction staff and Restoration staff :)

Master But I play NB. The Vet Dungeons are harder than Legendary but Skyrim was a pretty easy game without difficulty mods even on Legendary. Most of those were unfortunately stupid and broken not difficult though.

Playing fire staff DK on the normal zones is lower than novice though.

I play a dual-wield/bow Nightblade. I'm currently VR9. So by the "logic" of many forum-goers, I should have the biggest problem with VR content.

The difficulty is fine. It simply requires that you not stand in the fire and put some thought into your fight tactics instead of mindlessly hitting through a rotation.

Mate i played skyrim from lvl 1 on legendary , i added mods to make it much harder also , like adding elementals that could 1 hit kill me even after i got to lvl 90+ (using capped armor and the best echant+alch buffs) to the ore nodes...

ESO is still much harder than that skyrim lols.

Maybe it is because i took my time in skyrim being a rogue and became really good at killing targets with backstabs without having to fight , which usually resulted in me giving almost no dmg and even crappy enemies destroying me. Which in ESO does not exist , you cant just take one target at a time without the other noticing pretty 100% of the time , unlike skyrim where usually the targets can be taken one by one.

Master however Skyrim was more balanced in the way that if you were wearing heavy armor you could take a hit and in light armor you pretty much couldn't. In this game heavy armor is like useless paper mache and light armor actually gives you more spell resistance to mitigate the majority of attacks which are spells.

The thing that is great about Skyrim, is that you can change the difficulty whenever you want, even mid-fight. But alas, it's a single player game. This is an MMO, where that is not possible. If the difficulty is too much for some people, they will leave, most likely quietly. If you do make a post about the difficulty, all you will get is a 'l2block and doge', much like what is seen above.

Personally, I like to seek out my challenges, so in that sense, I feel the game should be at reasonable difficulty level that a wider range of people can enjoy. I do not feel that VR9 mobs, hitting you for 1k constantly, is something that is enjoyable for a decent amount of people. If I want difficulty, I will try take on 20 npcs. Or I will try to kill a boss with a spec that is sub-optimal, but more entertaining to play. Or I will try to solo things not meant to be soloed and so forth.

Eh never mind, I should probably just 'l2p'.

While i liked the difficulty i always said people should ask for a difficulty slider... can`t be that hard to make VR areas where NPC`s have less hp/damage... but nobody is asking for that, they all want to change the current VR and most people who like it fight back.

Make a poll regarding a difficulty slider/different difficulty levels and i doubt many would oppose it.

I voted Master as I've gone through 2 alliances and started the 3rd (50++) with only one other player. So all of the leveling has been just the two of us and it can be very difficult depending on the dungeon, boss, world boss, etc.
