Bosses armor/resistance

Hello there!
Haven't gotten around to do dungeons or trials yet but I'm preparing for them as I'm about to hit vet 12. I was a bit curious on how the spell/armor resistance is on the bosses? Also, is penetration actually beneficial against the bosses? (Light armor passives for example or the 4th destruction staff ability). Anyone who have gotten to test this out or know more about it?
