I want a limited AH.

If you like the guild stores and you think we should keep that system, this should work for you.

If you hate the guild store system and just want to be able to sell your important items in a functional AH, this should work for you.

Have an AH, but each player can only post 10 items on it at any one given time.

Anything above 10 items can still be sold on the guild store.

I think this would cut down on sell spamming in chat. People only tend to shout out the rare or expensive stuff, they can't seem to sell in a guild store very well.

All the simple stuff people were afraid the AH would be filled with millions of would not happen.

In the end we have a balance between a full blown AH and no AH.

No idea why only 10 items will achieve anything apart from more frustration on top of the fail guild store system we have.

I agree though what we need is an AH, but 10 items is too low.

Definitely need an AH. If I have to read WTB or WTS again in zone chat I'm gonna lose it. A modern MMO needs an AH. It can work if done right (what right is I'm not sure but I know it's not what we have right now).

I actually think that since the mega servers are huge, and we are trying to reduce the amount of garbage stuff on the AH, we limit the amount of items you can post in a global AH to 3 items. Then anything beyond (ingredients, and such) can be posted in the Guild Store. We also need a better guild store search function.

I don't see the actual merits of guild stores over easily accessible auction houses that pool into everyones sold goods.

I have been using guild stores and I do not like them.

And I want a balanced game with working skills. They're either inept or can't read to add one. Either way nobody will care in a few more months because there won't be anyone left except the slow levelers and and hardcore fanboys. Sadly neither of those groups will care.

If we can't have an AH, I'd like an option to toggle myself as a vendor/merchant. And people could select "view wares" when they interact with me from the action wheel. From there, they could only view items we have marked for sale. Buying the item is just a simple transaction, like a vendor, and the player gets notified that an item sold.

Maybe if it was only 5 items per account with a 3 day limit. That way people won't have 1xcarrot listed for 30 days at 250g.

Did not EQ2 have a maximum of what you could sell on their auction house, such as you are suggesting or am I thinking of another game?

I think the ultimate design of the guild store is fine, but it just needs better search features.

I have to use addons to search all the 4 Guild Stores i`m in at once... because if i had to manually do it every time i`d quit.

I also have to use an addon for filters as they somehow could not be bothered to enable filters... apparently they figured gamers have too much free time anyway so why not make them waste some more.

Either way, after this... at least its the last MMO launching with no AH, the others will know better.

Having an AH doesn't really have much to do with how many items you could list at any given time.

Several other MMOs have AHs, and F2P ones actually limit the amount of items you can list, according to what you pay. For example, 10 items for a "free" player, many more for a "paying" player (buying a Premium service pack).

I am not sure the limitation of the amount of items would mean something. An AH is an AH, it works globally and would affect the whole economy no matter what. Besides, you can have 8 characters each listing 10 items, so that makes it 80 already.

It is rather a decision of whether to have an AH or not at all. I persobally, would prefer an AH system, in ESO I have never truly sold anything since the Beta days, even if I have joined 2 "trading guilds", the whole system is clumsy, cumbersome and messy, and frankly I just cba (like most of the people I know).

I'm totally on the "have an AH" team. I was just trying to think of something that might be a middle ground.

I think he AH should be limited to 30 items listed for 3 days.

That way you can repost items at a lower cost that don't sell or trash them.

30 seems sensible, that way you can list materials, a suit or armour etc.

    The AH should also:

    - have a filtered search that also works the same way that "list in chat" works.
    - tells you what items sold when you receive your money
    - has a buy it now and bid option
    - has a fee for posting
    - Is accessible at one main hub in each zone in a physical auction house
    - Is close to crafting stations and bank
    - Lists the sellers name so that you can mail them "can you make me one of those". "can we trade" etc.
    - Is accessed via an NPC auctioneer not a banker and one that doesn't give you an annoying greeting :open_mouth:

The problem with only having a guild store... It forces you to find a good trade guild. I've joined a few now, and I'm not seeing people really buy much. I see a whole lot of people selling, but I can barely get a few hundred gold off equipment. Most people aren't joining a trade guild to look for BoE equipment. And once you hit VR, just forget it, if it's not the absolute best equipment, you're just wasting gold on the fees.

I think the guild store is a great concept. But equipment, I'd rather have an AH. Materials have too high of a fee to see them in the stores. Stuff just sits there for nearly the whole 30 days in most my guilds, and I'm just asking the going rates, or sometimes under.

And yeah, not knowing what sold when I have 30 items up really sucks. Anyone who feels the guild store is a good design hasn't really enjoyed a game as a merchant.
