Patch 1.1.4 is killing my game (and my character)

Is it just me? Since the latest patch I can't play 5 minutes without getting all my commands frozen, can't fight, can't sheathe, loot, nothing. I can't even disconnect to get back to the character selection screen: the "wait for disconnection" screen loops forever. Then black screen - and "error unknown".

And to make things worse, when I relaunch the game and reload my character, I get the "dead" screen, telling me my armor has suffered 10% damage. In one hour of this, simply trying to get to a quest mark through Alik'r Desert, I'm left with a 0 protection armor. I'm stuck, I can't move on to zones I haven't discovered yet.

Alik'r desert was not that buggy yesterday. Is it the zone ot is it the patch? Anybody having similar bugs?

Grouping bug is worst then ever too. we were doing trials earlier. each time we regrouped like 4 ppl got disconnected and everyone else had some serious screenfreezes.

Never was that bad. at least in pve.

Alik'r Desert is been a pain in the rear today. The lag it's horrible, you will lag by simply walking, turning in quest, getting quest, fighting, etc. And don't get near a fire, you will just crash. Vet Zone btw.

Try updating your addons. I had tons of troubles and had to disable and update some.

No addon enabled. It's not just Alik'r, it definitely IS the patch, I have the same problems with my other characters, whatever the alliance, the zone or the level... I don't know whether if I should laugh or cry...

Just got to Alik'r (level 31) and it's working fine for me.

Just went and finished a dungeon in Alik'r with my VR6 Templar. No addons, running fullscreen with crossfire with no issues. Hopefully they can get those of you having issues there a fix soon though. Alik'r was one of my least favourite zones and couldn't imagine having additional issues layered on it.

Has this company ever been able to make a game without major bugs, or even fix the bugs at least? No, their reputation of previous releases says this will be bug riddled trash for its entire existence.

Are you absolutely sure this is not your net? I have no doubts ESO is more than capable of bugging out on its own, but that sounds remarkably like what my ESO does whenever my net drops(even if it's for a second).

I guess it could be zone specific .. I'm in the Hollow City @ the moment and game runs well (no lag to speak of at the moment). I live in Australia and connect to the NA server and it does sometimes experience a bit of lag during late night on weekends .. but that's also consistent with my experience with my comms exchange.

Yeah, unfortunately I'm absolutely sure it's not my Internet connection, I monitor it and it hardly varies. Actually, I managed to salvage my Dragon Knight by connecting at odd hours, like in the middle of the afternoon on working days when there are less players online, works better then.

It is slightly zone specific though, Alik'r desert being the worst but I've had the same trouble at times in StormHaven or around banks and forges almost anywhere, essentially places where a lot of players gather - so I believe it is a server related problem, basically if the server cannot handle the number of players simultaneously connected, it randomly (I hope it is random!..) shoves you out, mindlessly forgetting to save your last moves - meaning if you managed to kill that damn boss, oops you'll have to do it again, or if you just launched a rare trait research you'd been saving, oops that precious piece of armor just vanished and, uh, you're dead by the way...

Kind of laughable that you're better off playing a MMO at times when other players are not around...

PS. Playing on the European server.

if you have addons installed, backup elder scrolls online folder in my documents and then delete it. should work.

Nope, no addon installed - I wish I did but my game is too unstable for me to try that. But what do you mean, back up and delete? Backup, delete the original and then replace with the backup?
