What is the point about it... what you get when you finished it all (vr1 to 10+)... a puny necklace...

Think an appropiate reward for going through it all would be like let us say 1 attribute point per VR or something... and maybe +2-300 to all stats or something... to make it more worthwhile... likewise hammering all the freebies to vr12, it is not to much to ask to just go through the story part each area either.

The necklace use to be lvl50 too. Then they bumped it up to Vr10 but the health regen stayed that of a lvl50 item.

Sadly, I kind of liked Caldwell early on, but then in Coldharbour he started disappearing when you needed him most, only to show up after the storm had passed. I then reluctantly followed his advice and "experienced" the other Pacts to better "understand" them, only to get a crappy necklace for my troubles.

I think they should give you a gold weapon of your choice for cadwell's gold. Or some sort of legendary item considering that you have gone through all the starting areas. I thought it was called cadwell's gold for a reason... not that I am getting a blue item.

Yes. A pat on the back and a blue quality necklace.

As was stated in the thread, it used to be a L50 necklace. It was like that when I completed it. I went to talk to Cadwell, expecting some kind of story, some kind of neat reward, but the *** handed me a L50 necklace. To be honest, I logged off for the night right after that happened. Very disappointing.

that's very disappointing:/ I myself have yet to even get past vet4. I expected you to get a huge attribute boost to the attribute of your choosing or something, or just a cool story, but a necklace? meh

I just realized now that John Cleese voiced Cadwell after seeing an article on the voice actors. I already am veteran rank 2.

I really don't know HOW I didn't realize that? I watched every Monty Python skit he has ever been in. I'm ashamed.

That you have an overview from the perspective of all faction leaders and their regional issues, exactly what Meridia wants you to.

But yes rewarding is a problem in ESO and we still need to wait for the patch to make the announcements become true for Vet levels.

I can't believe it, I just finished Cadwell's Gold today to find this out. We play all the way through our enemies factions at VR for the reward of 300g and vendor trash!
I wish I had of read one of these threads before taking this on. What a waste of time.

When I first created my main and first met Cadwell during my escape I thought that he was voiced by someone doing a John Cleese impression. It seemed like a pretty darn good John Cleese impression. A little googling later (which was really only intended to check to see if I was the only one who thought the voice actor was pretending to be John Cleese) and I found out why it seemed like a good impression...

This "Reward" is one of the biggest disappointments in the game. I had posted on it some time back to when i got it. I was hoping for another costume, title, vanity pet... something. It was almost insulting.

Really it highlights what is the freaking point to these veteran ranks. They add nothing and take away the desire to roll an alt. Playing a Templar theres nothing I'd like more than to try another class but theres no way I'm grinding through all that again!

Something I was thinking that could be nice... I just downed Molag for the 4th time... And, intending this to be the last time, I really looked over that "costume" you wear during the final fight, it's pretty sharp. I would have like to have had that a reward. Just as sharp as Mannimarco's threads. Just without the glow of course... If everyone was running around town in a glowing costume it would be almost as annoying as having a giant mammoth mounts parked on top of vendors.

The other thing I would love to have as a reward at "the end" would be a little Molag Bal Princeling vanity pet. He can follow you around yappin demeaning insults at you like the town guard do.

Or a vanity pet of Cadwell's mount Honor. That little lizard-chicken thing he has.

Perhaps a unique crafting motif that is bound and it's the only way you can get it...

I have to disagree.

If you like the story then you get to do all of the quests, on all factions, with your main character. You're not 'forced' to make an alt if you want to see every story. And I'd add that each quest is fully voice acted and some are fairly creative (more than just go kill 8 rats and return).

If you don't want to quest, this game gives you the option to grind and/or PvP.

If you like questing, you get to do them all on one character.

Cadwell's quests are simply here as a way to allow questers like me to see all of the quests. Nothing more. The reward is the quests.

I appreciate your opinion however wouldn't the option to either "defect" to another faction at Veteran Rank(lose the freakin levels already!!)or an option to role an alt at Veteran Rank be a better way to experience the quests? I say this because the questing, in my opinion, is the strongest part of the game. But I and probably alot of other players, burned through and wasted a lot of these quests just so I/we could get to max level so I/we could do all those end game things(err turns out theres not much here).
Cadwell's quest and Veteran Ranks as a whole feels very poorly thought out and a wasted opportunity by the devs. I still agree with others. A few cool goodies for that epic effort wouldn't go astray.

Some unique mount of your choice starting at a lvl 1 one with 40 or something in each skill speed/stamina and carrying.

10 additional attritube points given, maybe a boost of 200 to each stamina, magicka and health as well could be an option.

You guys know you're supposed to take that to a NPC in your faction's starter island right? For AD it would be khenarthi's roost. Forgot the name of the NPC but you're supposed to talk to her and an option to show her the necklace will be available, she then tells you about how she knows cadwell and gives you a story about who he was before becoming soul shriven. After that you get a skill point, some gold and a trophy, geez hope you guys didn't sell that thing already
