Developer Guild Input

I'm curious where Developers go for input regarding possible updates and changes to the game. Forums, social networks, professional reviews, guild leaders? Does that input reflect the majority of subscribers or is it skewed.
My question has to do with a perception of what a large guild is and a small guild. I belong to a couple of large guilds 100+ members who often have less members online than a small guild of under 25 members and work together in numbers far less than the small guild. There are some very intelligent well spoken people with great insight in each of the guilds, but will have a varied input. This post is slanted in that I like that representative voices are heard before changes are brought about instead of reacting after the fact.
