Hey ZOS, Nerfs Alone = Rage Quits

ZOS's surgical implements for performing balance surgery consist of:
    A battleaxe
    A greatsword
    A warhammer
    A baseball bat
    And a chainsaw.

...why nerf when you can nerf into oblivion?

Seriously, though, this ability is not nearly as broken as you people seem to think. Compared to what it was (broken, and you would have to be in serious denial to think otherwise), sure it has been broken. If you look at it for what it was intended as (an escape tool, or a battlefield repositioner), it's pretty good as is.

If you're using it to reposition, you probably don't need more than one. If you're using it to bolt into a group and stun and wreak aoe havoc causing confusion, death, and distraction, you definitely don't need more than one. If you're using it to escape, it better be costly, because that's the price of getting into a situation over your head, or being ambushed by someone lying in wait. You shouldn't be able to spam an instant teleport and lol your way across the map.

The only thing in your post I agree with is that nerfs with no buffs does look rather bleak. Balance goes both ways...it would be nice if the lower classes went up when the higher ones went down.

Attacking skills themselves in dramatic and game-changing ways is not the way to go. It just pisses people off. What they need to do is change supporting mechanics and/or buff counter play options to address specific problems, like the did with Talons.

Now this part I do agree with. I think they go completely overboard when they nerf stuff. Look at the 90%+ effective nerf to restoring spirit. Or the 65% effective DPS cut to puncturing strikes with their little surprise stealth nerf (not to mention the fact that it made us vulnerable for 1.5 seconds after each cast when we couldn't do anything but stand there and get shred to pieces). Or, the 66% effective nerf to ultimate generation from crit. Or, the nerf to Bash. Or, the vampirsm nerf. Or, the Nightblade nerf to stealth.

Notice a pattern here? Zennimax reminds me of Tyrion's cousin, Orsin Lannister. And we are the beetles.

Crunch the beetles! Crunch the beetles! Kungh! Kungh! Kungh!

PS: This kind of nonchalant and careless programming (like they did on the initial Puncturing Strikes nerf--adding a massive GCD that wasn't even documented) makes me seriously doubt they even do rudimentary QA testing. This is the reason stuff like this happens:

Luckily, in this case, we didn't lose a $125 million Mars orbiter.
