Horses Not Allowed In City Limits?

I would love it if players couldn't summon their mounts while inside a city, village or town. To me it is very immersion breaking to be strolling down the path, and suddenly get ran over by multiple other players, rudely charging through the mass on horse back, not seeming to care at all who they're running over, player or npc alike.

Also, I'd love a disable pets option within the city. Nothing like standing in a bank being swatted in the face by 5 twilights.

So if they didn't have horses they'd run straight through you on foot anyway which would be just as immersion breaking. The only thing that would solve that would be collision with player characters which would be terrible since people would take advantage of it with massive trolling, blocking people from talking to NPCs, getting into doors, getting to crafting stations, etc.

On top of that, not being able to ride your horse in some of these hugely spread out cities would be really irritating since it would take 2-3 times as long to move between the bank and crafting stations, vendors and quests.

All around, a bad idea. The system works fine as it is. Sorry if it breaks your immersion, but the alternatives are terrible.

I only ride my horse in town, because I'm usually only doing business there anyway.

And, um, before cars, cities were full of horses, too. Keep to the sides or you'll get run over not only by riders, but wagons and coaches as well. It's not so much a horse you have to worry about, it's what he's pulling that will really get you.

If you want immersion ... be thankful that ESO cities don't have to have street-sweepers.

I do care, I avoid NPCs.
People keep telling me they're gonna buy me an ale. They never do.

There are only two things I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's culture. And the Elves.

A nice idea CodyFurlong but I doubt it will be implemented :) There are times if I am in RP mode I like to walk about a town and sometimes mutter to myself when a horse rider just goes through my character as if I'm not there - at least if they swerved you could forgive their ignorance. :p

Several cities have the stables inside the city. It wouldn't make sense to sell the horse in the city, but prevent you from riding them.

I'd also like to see the wearing of armor and weapons forbidden in cities, as it makes no sense to me that the local garrison is totally OK with untrained masses wandering through towns with dangerous weapons being swung about.

Furthermore, banks should have defined lines for people to wait their turn in.
Utterly shatters immersion to see 15 people surrounding the banker.

Sorcerers who summon daedrda pets? I'm sorry, these people deserve to be executed, on the spot, by the NPC guards. In fact, they should be open-season for players, too.

Horses in cities makes sense to me. Summoned pets, weapons, and spamming magic not so much. I hope when the justice system is implemented they start enforcing using weapons in town. I'd be ok even with a designated test area. It's just gotten to the point of distracting in the bank and crafting areas.

And i love how i can use my horse in the city limits and dont need to spend even more time running around.

That is the reason i added all my lvl50 horse upgrades into speed.
