I am well aware that there have been one or two of these but so far no-one with the ability to change anything seems to be listening to the key problems. So here goes my personal rant to the aloof gods of CS and development.

Warning this is a long wall of text, if you are intimidated or antagonised by such things now would be the time to stop.

First the good:

I am happy with the concept of the VR zones and the plot concept of seeing what would have happened if your amnesiac character had washed up elsewhere in Tamriel. I don't feel it messes with my DC loyalty any more than taking a trip abroad makes me feel less for my RL nation - in fact given that the whole final quest stage is about trying to unite the 3 factions to kick MB it makes some sense. And given the sheer level of questing content I don't see how else they could have done it.

I come from the TES rather than MMO background so I like questing, more quests=great, more lore=great, more dialogue=great. So again the VR content scores big here. Sure there is some repetition but I have now done nearly 800 quests across 3 factions I'd be shocked not to find some.

Crafting is cool in VR - Crafting continues to be fun & actually there is some value in the time VR levels take as you can get a fully optimised set of gear together rather than having to replace it every couple of days in the early game. I farm for my raw materials and do my own refining/crafting so having time to savour the latest set is actually a bonus. Not sure what they do when VR13+ hits as I am sure it will - maybe some new materials for each craft line? I miss 'glass' armour :)

But then the bad:

Huge variation in solo boss difficulty - some bosses are weak some are crazy strong (and yes I now how to block, dodge and interrupt, I got a DW NB to VR8 without a staff FFS). I find I can, if pushed, solo most dungeon bosses, even the odd WB but some of the solo quest guys are just blocks and you are forced to group to get by them which brings me to...

VR Zones are empty - When questing 1-50 & even VR1-5 I used to see people around, when in Reaper's March there was a boss I could not get past I was able to find someone to group with so we could both get through the quest and continue the story. Since the VR mob buff, achievement bug & Craglorn generally the zones from VR6 up have been ghost towns, I have been unable to find a person to group with for the one boss on Deshaan I cannot beat and cannot fill in Cadwell's log as a result.

Reward level is lousy compared to difficulty - VP is a slow creep, money rarely covers the armour repairs for a combat quest, item stuff is OK but far from great or interesting, even random drops from mobs seem worse than somewhere like CH. Couple with feeling like you have to creep through the landscape rather than exploring even though at this point one, in theory, has some of the best kit in the game.

True story time - I read about these anomaly thingies a couple of days back in Craglorn and went to take a peek. I had more fun grinding a stupid red crystal for 2 days with a group of entertaining people than I have had in VR for weeks, I hit VR12 (and yes feel slightly dirty) and I am now working on getting the mats together to get my new void kit to be all gold. I had fun! Tonight I went back to Shadowfen and in one quest alone died twice to stupid overpowered 'Swarming Wasps' hitting me from multiple angles for 3-400 each, had to sneak through a mini-cave to the quest boss because I know damn well that 3 casters in a mob will probably nail me to the floor, got a 300g reward which went on armour repairs... the quest had good story and regional flavour but that was drowned by the feeling of frustration at the randomness and powerlessness.

And the out & out ugly:

NB skills.... grrrr... love my DW, leather wearing sneaky NB but I want my skills to work reliably as advertised. I can live with not being as powerful as other classes, as long as I am powerful enough for the curve of the game itself - I like a bit of PvP but I am not precious about being killed by players as i know a lot of them have lots more practice at hunting 'the most dangerous game'. But right now I consistently feel underpowered compared to random critters in groups.

Not fixing the mob levels in VR after the Craglorn patch broke them - this is a big one for me, life was hard in VR anyway but then they doubled the difficulty 'by mistake' and their hotfix has not fixed it in a consistent way.

Questing achievements... I have never been much of an achievement *** before this game but by now I should be a Hero of various factions but they went and broke it... now I have no idea what will happen if/when they try to fix it... will they be able to merge the quests I have done since with those that vanished? Will I ever get my Covenant Hero title? It's a small bug but an oddly big deal for me.

So to summarise:

I am here, I am still subbed, I want to love this game, I am PvE with a growing hint of PvP - and VR questing is driving me mental!!!

On the remote chance someone from ZOS reads this - FIX the mob difficulty you broke, TWEAK a handful of the crazy solo bosses, keep the hardest bosses off the main regional storyline, challenge us but let us feel like we have some power too, work on the grouping tools so we can share quests with the people we want.

Oh... and give me my Hero titles!!

My NB is only vr3, so maybe it will get much harder, but so far, there hasn't been a boss i couldn't kill with veil of blades.

As for the money - if you sell all the green trash drops you get from every rat you step on in VR zones, you should be swimming in cash(i burned it all on several respecs tho)

I found for me the bite started in VR5 but it'll probably depend on your spec a little (plus I am not claiming to the best player in the world but I claim decent competency based on getting this far). I have heard that if you swap your knives for a staff it is quite effective, I just don't want to be forced to play that way.

    Money is not a problem.

Also for balance - skill point gain is handy as are skyshards. Would be nice to see health/stam/macgicka going up too but they have hinted that that may come.
