I posted this in the Alliance War section because this post is specifically about the Dark Anchors in Cyrodil. This is technically PvE content related so if this should be moved somewhere else, please do so.
The Dark Anchors in Cyrodil are WAY to easy.
I run a weekly event with my guild where-in we travel from Dark Anchor to Dark Anchor for approximately 2 hours and we complete them. While the loot rewards are nil, everyone likes the achievements and the occasional named boss that can appear at the end for an extra achievement.
Yesterday, after our guild meeting, we went into Cyrodil to complete all of the Dark Anchors there. We were greeted with a very rude surprise.
While all of the Mobs in Cyrodil are now Vet Rank 5, all of the Daedra that come from the Dark Anchors are still set to the difficulty of level 50, DESPITE their name tags displaying Vet 5.
In essence, we were able to one-shot every single mob at the Dark Anchors in Cyrodil. On top of that, the anchor would only drop 1 Daedra at a time. This created no challenge at all. On top of that, no chest every dropped when the anchor was complete.
Now mind you, we took in approximately 25 guild members on this endeavor, but after 3 Dark Anchors, we gave up because it was to BORING and went on to do some normal PvP.
Some suggestions for Dark Anchors in Cyrodil:
- Revert the Worm Cult Battlemages and ALL Daedra that drop from Dark Anchors BACK to a true Vet level 5 state thus increasing the overall difficulty of the anchor in Cyrodil.
- Cyrodil Dark Anchors should drop more Daedra based upon the number of players in the area. For example: 1-5 players in area, 1 mob PER pinion drop at the same time. 5-10 players in the area, 2 mobs per pinion drop at the same time. 10-15 players in the area, 3 mobs per pinion drop at the same time. etc etc.
- The variety of mobs that drop at Cyrodil Dark Anchors needs to be 'less common' and 'more demon', Meaning, skip the zombies and skeletons and bloodfiends. Have the Cyrodil Dark Anchors drop actual Daedric Mobs; Spider Daedra, Harvesters, Atronachs, etc etc. Any of the higher difficulty daedric enemies. Seems more fitting in an area that is hotly contested by 3 factions.
- When a Cyrodil Dark Anchor 'drops', meaning when the actual ANCHOR itself comes down from the sky, there needs to be a more noticeable indication. Something that gets the attention of all players nearby and brings them to investigate. No one really pays attention to Dark Anchors in Cyrodil right now and the difficulty of said anchors needs to have a larger possibility of PvP involved.
- Cyrodil Dark Anchors needs to have a dropped chest at the end. There are no loot rewards for these anchors at this time.
