Someone Got My Pants!

True Story One:
I am buying a race style, but was 3,000 Gold short. So I paid all I can in gold and gave her my yellow ranted pants to hold on too when I can make the rest of the gold for the price. She COD my pants back to me, just have to make 3K to pay for my pants. I have the race style now. It is good to have someone to work with me! o:)

True Story Two:
I needed some water and a different person needed a shield. So I crafted him his shield for exchanged of water.

So you might ask what the point of those stories? Glad that you asked, (You did asked right?)

With an AH UI, we could not make such trades (well not as common or easy) and less interaction between the players. Less interaction means less chance of making friends. MMO's need to have players to make friends with each other for the long live of the MMO.

SO NO AH PLEASE! B)

This reminds me of a certain pantsless Dunmer from Morrowind~

Glad to see there's at least one thread about the perks of no AH. While the constant "WTS" in zone chat is annoying, I also have very nice and memorable experiences with the people I am buying from in zone chat. So I second the no auction house.

Nice story. Only I do not have yellow pants because I'm 2 upgrade mats short and I will not start spamming zone chat to get some.

I'm pretty sure pawning one's pants isn't a feature you'd find in any AH, so even if there was an AH you could go about your 'business' as usual. People actively seeking direct player to player trade will always have an advantage over those utilizing the AH, don't you worry.

You could still do all of that with an AH. Nothing would stop you from interacting with someone to trade. Pointless rant.

Indeed, nothing about an auction house stops you handing your pants to somebody, or crafting a shield for someone else.

Also call me slow, but how does the OP paying 3K for his pants give him the 3K he was short for the Racial Motif????

This reminds me of the time i went to buy the groceries and forgot my wallet home so i gave the cleck my pants as a collateral. I never went back to claim my pants since my grocery bill was 3k and didn't like the pants that much.

That's why i think i this game should have auction house.

Ah, you missed the point. I am saying with an AH, it will lessen player interaction with each other. Player interaction is good to have and should be encouraged. Having no AH is a way to encouraged more interaction.

I have played another MMO which had an AH and found less interaction then ESO which does not have an AH. My point still stands.

For those who are wondering, My Argonian is wearing a robe, thus no one can see that she does not have any pants on ATM.

It was a sign of "good faith" that I will pay back the full amount to the seller of the motif.

Yes, one still can do with AH, but it will happen less. Less player interaction is bad for the MMO. More player interaction will cause more friendships to be made. More friendships will be for a better MMO over all. Therefore, AH is bad to have around, because it just lessens the player interaction and friendships might be made.

I didn't miss it. Just don't agree with your logic. You are relating two things that have little to do with each other.

The AH already exists it is just limited to guild only which is a poor way to implement an AH system. They didn't even spend the time to make it a decent system and has the worst search function of any mmo I have ever seen. If people want to trade and interact then they will and they are.
