yes and no, im happy with my name, but i want others to be able to have the option. the problem is that the bots will abuse this ability, so until the bot problem is down to a managable level, this will probably be put off

I don`t think it has an impact... i doubt their data base uses names to identify people. You most likely get a number, like user1235125 with the property name equal to "Joe the Knight", so if your name property changes you are still user1235125 so it makes no difference.

Also, to their credit, i`m seeing a lot less bots right now, i used to go berserk about them every day but now i rarely if at all see one. I`d say they are at a manageable level...

The only question is what happened, did they leave due to low sales or was it ZENIMAX pushing them out... i`m going to give ZENIMAX credit for this until i hear otherwise.

I chose my names carefully, my only regret is that I didn't include surnames, I can live with that.

Yet another obviously biased poll. How about an option for NO - I put a great deal of thought into my name, it is lore friendly and I like it. No need to change.

I agree that people should have the option to change their character name if they want to.

It is IMPERATIVE the REPORT feature be modified to include the Character name AND the Account name. Characters (BOTS) can, and most likely are, deleted and remade.

I don't have a strong opinion either way. Its not really lore breaking to change your name. After all Talos did change his name to Tiber Septim.

I am for allowing name change for gold only if 1. It doe not aid the gold/rmt accounts in any way. 2nd It would put an end to the player names that reference illegal drug use drug culture that has no place in the game.

I think they should do little changes, like CORRECTING CAPITALIZATION MISTAKES for free, but then I'm biased.

I don't think anyone will unsub if this or race changes or faction changes or any of that is implemented, and will only give them more money

Its not about forcing people to change it like you seem to think... and not biased. Its about giving people who want it the option to do it... an optional thing.

It will have no impact on the people who don`t want to change their name...

I thought it was in one of the initial interviews that name change will come as one of the first/early batch of store items following the palomino. (no date confirmation)
