Constant Nerfing is irritating.

Instead of nerfing Sorcerers for the 4th time, just power up DK and NB already. NB should get a "burst" ability that 2x its move speed and allows attacks/casts while sprinting for 10 seconds. That is its answer to Bolt Escape, no nerf needed.

Give DK an "Anchor" ability. One that works like the "Press X" Synergy but make it one the DK can aim and shoot instead of hoping someone uses it at the right time and that it targets the right enemy.

Bolt Escape is countered and no nerf needed.

Make stamina builds relevant again. Mana/Stamina income is a very harsh game to play, but classes who depend on Stamina Builds are screwed; because they have to use that same "income" for sprinting, blocking and dodging. That is the real advantage mages have, their stamina income is usually closer to full even if they don't have anything to do with it but run to reposition. Yet melee builds lose a lot of flexibility on terms of combat options that mages don't have to deal with.


The solution isn't nerf Sorcerers, the solution is power-up the DK's and NB's.


After trying the other classes and playstyles I realized why stamina builds suck and why people hate NB's and DK's. They are weak. They are reliant on overpowered kid-tricks like 30m leashes and eternal-stun locks, and their "cool stuff" just doesn't hit as hard as it should.


Melee is boring because you can't bob, weave and juke.

You are pretty much hit by every attack in range to hit you no matter how you are moving. If you don't have a red circle to avoid, a hold block popup or something of the like, you are hit automatically by every attack in range to hit you. Even if you are strafing and moving in evasive patterns.


Want to nerf something? 2 crushing glyphs in which case it is OP. Crushing Glyph does need a nerf or hard cap or something.

    I agree that stamina needs to be on par with magicka builds but the problem here is that all the class skills are magicka based. Bad game design in it's current state. They need to find a solution to this otherwise everyone with half a brain cell left will know that if you're not wearing light armour and maxed out magicka you are going to die mucho in VR.

    People crying to stop the Nerfs need to actually understand why they happen. It's not just to pull you back to the other classes performance level.

    It's because your performance level is letting you do things the devs don't want you doing. If they buff the other classes up to your level, then all classes do things the devs don't want you doing.

    They are nerfing DK's and Sorcs, due to them soloing group content. They dont want anyone doing that, as it trivialises content. They are not nerfing just to annoy you.

    Almost every class besides DK and SORCS are under performing of said bugs or abilities not being ON PAR with these two classes.

    They are not "nerfing", anything. They are doing balancing which is a constant job and is near impossible to get right considering all skills, not just 1.

    So far they are doing a pretty good job at it. There is still fixes to do, but both in the next patch and in the road ahead, balancing is mentioned as a prime thing.

    And as preview poster sais, Zenimax isnt balancing to annoy anyone. They doing it to make a good game, for all.

    i agree..the classes feel very under powered as a whole specially once you hit VT ranks in PVE were you are lucky to be able to kill two enemy's grouped with some classes without dieing and having to use a dozen soul gems just to pass a quest...sure balance the classes but make them more powerful dont just keep nerfing down whatever class people think have the advantage that week..

    No amount of nerfing or buffing is going to fix the magicka/stamina imbalance. They are going to have rework the entire class/weapon/armor and resource management mechanic to even hope for any semblance of balance.

    I agree buffs not nerfs everytime, nerfs are only needed if they impact on PvP & cannot be cured by giving other classes a tweak.

    As OP says let the DKs & sorcs have their fun just give NBs and Temps some extra class appropriate power.

    And... avoid making all classes have the same skills, good design can make all equally viable but in their own special ways

    BE , in my opinion , is the most unbalanced skill in this whole game. People should not be allowed to spam it like they do , in that sense , i think the nerf did not hit the problem really.

    I would not have added the 4 secs mana regen lock , sorcs should indeed be able to use this to leave melee BUT i would have made like 100% extra cost for the second cast in 4 secs , so that they would NOT spam it like crazy.

    Still , lets see how well does this change works.

    Outside BE , yeah , would not nerf the sorcs much really.

    Nerfs don't add anything, they take away.

    They ruin entire builds that a character might be built around.

    Most characters who are ruined by the nerf weren't even doing anything "bad" just a small handfull of elite players. This doesn't justify trashing the whole crowd to nail 4 people.

    I also say power up those NB's and Templars so they can have fun too. Templars and Night Blades, as I said, need some powers changed so they can really get in there. Imagine running in stealthed, hitting someone, turning back invisible and running back out without getting killed? I want NB's doing that. Imagine being able to use a Super Sprint ability to run right up to the Sorc who just casted Bolt Escape 3 times.

    Imagine a Templar who has instant casting heals. Give Templars the ability to suppress negative status effects, and apply better buffs than 5 seconds of 30% regen or whatever that garbage is.

    My philosophy is that if A is too powerful, then B needs to be given a counter. Chances are, B has something that most players don't pick because its worthless, so remove that and change it to the counter.

    Bolt Escape < Super Sprint.

    A sorc can still escape, but the NB can still catch up. They will probably be solo dueling outside the main skirmish for a bit.

    Or... toss out the class system and let people simply level the skills they want as is traditional in TES if not in MMOs.

    Then you will have much more variety of builds and if people think an ability is strong they can put skill points in it.

    I love the way the post topic doesn't even mention shattered Templars!

    Templars are the only class to have resource mechanic completely removed from Beta. We have the weakest DPS and are still getting nerfed!

    It's sad when a class has fallen so far out of relevance that its dismissed by the community.

    NBs and Templars have been broken since Beta. DKs and Sorcs have been the OP FOTM for three months too long!

    I dislike Zenimax's choice to avoid pro-active balance and choosing instead to balance in the negative by nerfing.

    Nerf or buff, I don't care anymore. Just make Templars relevant to the game again and not a masochistic purgatory of disappointment!
